LIVERPOOL VS ARSENAL - 15 aug 2010, ko: 16:00

Liverpool Football Club - Games

I thought Roy's substitution of Mascherano for Lucas was a bit unnecessary. If we still have one more subtitution, Agger could have been replaced and the momentum wouldn't have swung in arsenal's favour...

As much as i like liverpool we do have our own share of divers, but perhaps not as bad as for instance Eboue.

if we go on with those guts and glory performances for the season then we could really be looking at having a good one this year
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

amazing performance by Liverpool. really positive and everyone seemed to know their role on the pitch. Skertyl, Mash and Jovanovic showed fierce determination in their play and there's nothing to complain about except the ref missing out of 2 penalty appeals.

And Kuyt, mate.  He is exactly what's needed when playing a man down.  Strong, determined and clever enough to get the ball deep into their half and look to catch them out.  I would have been made up if his clever little move to get into the box had ended in a goal.

I thought our entire starting 11 played a great game, with Milan trailing slightly behind everyone on the ratings.  He had that one tremendous run but other than that he was fairly quiet and could have done more.  No one played badly today though, well.. Joe was pretty bad now that I think about it.  Anyway 9 out of 11 were really good.

When you have a player being CHOKED in the box - that's a penalty!!!

hence why i said the only thing left to complain about was the ref missing out on the penalty appeals. and im delighted with the professionalism Mash showed. despite wanting to leave the club for a different climate, he gave a top display. and Skrtel seems to have found the type of form he is known for. well done boys!

What a strange post. Mascherano signalled to come off.

Did you actually watch the game?

:censored: hell Javier Mascherano
:bowdown

How good was he today , absolutly wonderful in my eyes , i dont care what anyone calls him or dosnt call him , that is what you call a proffesional footballer out there today , he gave it everything he had, i was up on me couch applauding at one point, Tremendos Javier absolutly tremendos, and when he went off Lucas just carried on from what hed been doing , Great to see Fernando back ,but crackin goal from young David there , feel dead sorry for Pepe,
Good game though
