Liverpool will kick-off their pre-season preparations ahead of the 2010-11 season with a friendly against Saudi Arabia Champions Al-Hilal.

The match is being played at the 8,500 capacity Cashpoint-Arena in Altach, Austria - home of Austrian Second Division outfit SCR Altach.

Roys first game and lets hope its the start of something good. Most of the first team will still be on their holidays but some will be about like Lucas  :buttrock    :D.  This game might give us some idea of what Roy has in store for us.

3-0

Lucas Hatrick   :D

All you can ask for is a decent balance to the side and not too many players playing out of position. Great chance for some of these lads to impress Roy.

                  Cavalieri

Degen     Kelly     Ayala     Insua

Amoo    Aquilani   Palsson   Riera

               Ngog   Dalla Valle

Subs: Eccleston, Jovanovic, Ince, Lucas, Darby, Kyrgiakos, Gulacsi

I just checked LFCTV and they don't have the match listed. Not on Five either by the looks of things.

New season, new hopes... :)  I don't know why, but I am still optimistic. Looking forward to seeing our youngsters in action. Good luck to the lads trying to impress Roy!
