Midfielders game. We've had a lot of possesion, but with city keeping what seems to be 9 or 10 men behind the ball at all times we're struggling to create a single chance.

Alonso's 50 yard effort is the closest we've come, and they've had 2 more shots on goal than us. Kuyts hardly had a touch so far.

After 42mins and approaching half time:

The game started off at a slow pace, and has carried on through out the half

this is fast becoming a carbon copy of the Aston Villa game. Dispite what we all thought at the start about city's failings and our superior form. city are proving very very hard to break down, and we are struggling with the final ball and also time on the ball in the final third. We are really struggling to get past their back line. sloppy passing at times hasn't helped, but city have block, cut-out and man marked their way through this game.

Alonso and Masher are seeing a lot of the ball, but there is no one free ahead of them for them to pass to.
Alonso's chance, a kuyt header and carra at the far post are the only chances we've had - and they've all been half chances really, nothing clear cut.
