Theoretically, based on current form, this should be a no-brainer. They've struggled to a draw against almost relegated Charlton and haven't even managed to score in their last four home games. In that time we've dismantled Arsenal and got a solid away win at Reading. So on form we should batter them.

No excuses either. None of this post-Europe sluggishness, after all last night was little more than a training session.

That said I suspect it's the sort of game they need - one where they're not expected to win. Their players will be up for it and probably playing quite freely. I can see it being tricky but I'm still confident. I'll go for 2-1 win with Crouch continuing his recent scoring form.

I would like to think it would be a formality and we will pick up the 3pts, but at the same time I thought that when we were about to play Aston Villa.

It all depends on which team turns up to play.

we should be able to wrap this one up ok.......id like to see a cameo from kewell if he's ready. their last away win over fulham i think got them further  away from the relegation zone, but they'll still put their all into it.
Us on the other hand want to wrap up 3rd place as quickly as possible....and there's no reason we shouldnt.

This game shouldn't pose a problem.  None of the league games we have left look too difficult.  Expect Rafa to start resting players as soon as Champions League football is automatically secured through the Premiership for next season.

I expect Finnan,Gerrard Carragher,Mascharano and Kuyt to all start because they were rested aginst psv. Bellamys out for thisgame so it must be a Crouch-Kuyt partnership. The fact that alonso was taken of makes me think that he will start along side Mascharano in the centre of our midfeild which means Gerrards on the right. Arbeloas doing well so i think he may start on the lb and riise lm. Finnan rb and Carragher Agger cb.

I don't see many easy games in the Premiership. I'll be happy with a win, and no more injuries. Kuyt is fresh, Gerrard is fresh, Carragher is fresh, Alonso was rested 20 mins, Mascherano is fresh.

Well, it's about time to review the rotation topic. It has it's bright side.

I think that's the key now.

Two years ago we defied the odds because we only had one fit striker for virtually the whole european campaign. i mean it was that bad that le tallec started in the quarter final against juventus.

We really need Bellamy to be back fit for the first leg of the Semi because we'll need his pace on the counter.

Games are coming thick and fast so we need to keep players fresh. In theory the games away at Man City and at home to Wigan should be the easier of the next four so I'd save the strongest starting XI for the games against Boro and Chelsea (CL).

Kuyt's scoring record away from home is 1 goal for every 7 games started, while he contributes plenty regardless of goals I'd still perhaps save him for home/important games

It's heartening to see that compassion for your fellow human beings is still alive in this World.

On current form, there is only one winner. (But we all know LFC likes to take the form book and ram it up the nearest bottom with alarming frequency.
