Yep

would like to see us back to basics

                     Reina
Arby     Carra            Skrtel        Dossenna

Gerrard      Alonso      Mascherano  Riera

                  Kuyt     Torres

I would love that line up, we would  tw@t stoke with that.

but I think Rafa will prefer it like this

                       Reina
Arby       Carra             Skrtel          Dossenna

Kuyt        Alonso           Masch         Riera

                        Gerrard

                        Torres

Yeah - this is the perfect game for Keane.  Would also expect to see Agger and Skrtel paired in the middle of defense.
Would expect Rafa to go with:
                    Reina
Arbeloa      Agger       Skrtel         Dossena
Benayoun   Alonso     Masch         Reira
         Keane          Torres
Would like to see:
                  Reina
     Carragher       Skrtel        Agger
Babel      Gerrard       Masch       Alonso        Reira
          Keane           Torres

:D :D

just expect 3points... that will do, we have had a busy week before this game. I will take 1 nil and be happy

I just hope we approach the game with the right attitude and intensity, otherwise the atmosphere as it quite often is against the lower teams, will be completely flat.

if we play at the same tempo as we did second half against united, i think we'll see another derby at home from last season. if we're off the pace, we could see a birmingham at home.

rest who needs resting and go for the win. If Torres could do with a rest then so be it its a long season but if the game will help him then he should play.  Same with SG.  Hamstring and Groin injuries are bad even with the amazing recovery times these days.

We should have the squad and the players now with the hunger to beat Stoke.

I wouldnt mind seeing Babel up front he looks like his confidence is about to explode and maybe Keane as a partner.

Alonso rested last night so he should start maybe with SG if he is up for it

Riera a deffo

I would include Hypia for their set piece threat and maybe look at Agger

stoke city are a team close to my heart and i never want them to lose - apart from two games this season, that is. this HAS to be 3 points in the bank as there is really no way they can beat us at home, surely to god. it won't be an easy game though. they are a big physical side with a very direct game - imagine bolton on steriods. delap has a long throw that borders on the incredible and so the ball will be heading towards our box anytime the ball goes out of play in our half of the pitch. we need to control the aerial battles, so it's got to be a game for sammi.

if we're lucky we may even get treated to a comedy routine or two if salif diao is included in the stoke squad. i'm sure he'll get a lovely reception

:D

possible debut for Degen? Didn't we buy him to bomb forward to help us with our width against teams like stoke?

Degen? No thanks. I dont want that guy potentially fecking up the stability in stringing together results we have shown so far. If he was good enough in training then Rafa would have used him by now. We dont want to slip up against stoke so dont risk him. Use him in the Carling Cup he is :censored: anyway I dont know why people are keen to see him play. The only width he gives is accross his :censored: face when he is smiling which seems to be all the time.
