LIVERPOOL VS ARSENAL - 21st april 2009. anfield 8pm k/o

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Think we will win as Arsenal will come less focused and maybe not with their strongest players after the FA cup and before CL semi games - the problem is that ManU will face the same Arsenal mentality when they meet them...

dunno the way we handled chelsea on Tuesday Im not sure how massive a blow losing Stevie is. Play Benny in the hole, I think we should still be OK, like Michael said, their defence is in disarray, we should kill them when we go forward

Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing

I think Yossi will play, I don't think Rafa will play him in the hole though

anyone watching this semi final atm? That Arsenal keeper's decision making is awful, their RB is also :censored:, good time for us to play them IMO, still reckon it'll be a tight game tho

We have scored 8 goals in 2 games without Gerrard and we are on good form.

Ive got a good feeling about this game. Wenger will probably tell them not to try too hard and avoid any injury since they have nothing to win in the PL and it all to win in the CL. Saying that though, Nasri and Arshavin were on the bench today and Adebayour was taken off

???

Still we can take whatever they throw at us  :buttrock

Actually I think they will go all out to try and win it. They rested Nasri and Arshavin for all but the last 15 mins of the game today. We should be able to beat them though even with no Stevie.

if Rafa tried what Wenger just did hed have got crucified, why the hell did he leave Nasri and Arshavin on the bench? I'm pretty confident we can beat them but they might want to take this out on us

I dont get Wenger ?? Why would he rest his key players for a tough PL match?

Even if Arsenal beat us, their players will be tired for the champions league and they arent going to get anywere in the PL.

Unless there is something im missing in all this.. it's practically common sense that he should have thrown everything he had at the FA cup match tonight, played a weaker team against us and then a strong team against the mancs. He seriously cant believe he's got a chance of winning the prem?

i think a hight tempo first half display will be enough to beat this arsenal team....... get the job done by half time with 2 or 3 goals........ eboue silvestre and the keeper look really weak

That keeper must be feeling shyte. I hope he plays on Tuesday. If he does we need to be testing him with lots of long range shots. Xabi is due his annual 60 yard belter. :D

you can only play so many attacking players. Its not like RVP and Walcott are 2nd rate.
