Kewell was another player who people said give him more time.  Wait to he gets fit etc.  Yet year after year no improvement.  Kuyt has to go simple as that.  In England he should be at a mid table side.  His an average player with little attributes.  He works hard but so would I.  Just exactly what has he done to deserve another season?

He's covered ground that other players won't cover. He's found himself at right back because the likes of Pennant don't track back so Kuyt does it. Same on the left. He wins the ball back in important positions from a defensive point of view.

He's scored a couple of goals which isn't good enough, but it's because of him doing everyone elses donkey work why he's not scoring. When he's been in the box he's having chances.

This is coming from one of Kuyt's biggest critics as well. But I always see the good in people even if they're not good enough. I'd sell Kuyt personally but he does do a job for the club that not many people would be prepared to.

I would much rather have a player that doesnt track back but once given the ball they can do things which others can not than a limited player who's biggest attribute is working hard.

So on your theory Mascheranho is a waste of space? All he does is track back and win the ball and work hard.
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.

He's covered ground that other players won't cover.

if thats the case then rafa needs to address that.

he shouldnt play out of position, he's a forward.

However, when he does get into position for a goalbound shot - its woeful majority of the time and some of his lay-off work leaves our lads short.

work the ball, not your own team

Kuyt's a forward, I agree and I agree he shouldn't be playing right wing. I agree his overall game isn't up to the standard of Liverpool but alls I'm trying to do is show that he has some positives.

No.  I am not saying there is no place for players who dont create or score goals.  However u cant compare what Mascherano is there to do and and what Kuyt is there to do.  Kuyt is an attacking player who should be scoring and creating goals.  He is not v good at doing either but it seems cos he runs around all day like a headless chicken thats good enough.  I would rather have an attacking player like Berbatov who at times can be a real lazy player but once he has the ball he does some great things.

Given the warmth with which Rafa hugged Kuyt around the neck at the end of the Bolton game, he apparently agrees' with you.

No doubt Rafa likes Kuyt. Why people say "Rafa will get rid of the mediocre players like kuyt" in the summer I have no idea.  Kuyt could well be here next year if Rafa is still here as he clearly is a big fan.

As long as Rafa is manager we will have Kuyt playing week in week out, all hail the rafalution with its dependence on sh1t players.
Can you guys imagine how p1ssed off Crouch must be when Torres is subbed, actually a good move by Rafa, only to be replaced by Riise?? If I was him I would be so fecking annoyed at Rafa for not even giving me a chance whilst a complete waste of space striker like Kuyt is held in so much favour.

Yes he and crouch are both not LFC material but get behind the lad will ya , he's done a better job in the last three games , scored a crcuial goal against milan to open the scoring .. He's been playing better and we can see that his confidence is up , so stop criticizing the lad will ya?

well at least the waste of space striker does more work then the beanpole , who has one advantage his height and he can't head and score to save his life , i've said it time and time again , crouch and kuyt are both not lfc material but kuyt is a better player then crouch , hell crouch needed 17 games to get his first goal , he missed 5 chances against barnsley and then scored from a offside goal . those 5 chances i'm sure at least one would be converted by kuyt , chelsea whr crouch missed 3 good chances , 2 headers and a shot . Inter another game , people like u need to wake up and see that crouch isn't really an asset to the team , he doesn't add anything to the team , he's just missing as many or more shots then kuyt who tracks back and helps the defence which crouch can't do .

criticism can be weighed upon someone who aint cutting it

however, i take your points though. Nonetheless, i think you even realise that kuyt just isnt up to be a forward at lfc, even though his record before us was good. maybe its the style in which rafa wants him to play that makes him look mediocre?

Kuyt is a forward. But not a winger.
Where is he posted? Right wing.

That's just stupid. And even there is he doing fine. Today 2 assists.
Great.

Oh and Bayern Munich is interested in Kuyt.

Dirk Kuyt has a game to goal ratio of 3.65, so every three and a half games, he grabs himself a goal. Compare that to Torres who's ratio is less than 1.5 it doesn't make good reading but compared to Voronin's who's is above 5 games to score one goal, maybe we should give Kuyt a bit more credit.

Not going to happen :D

What happend GBJH ? Compared to let's say 4 months ago your getting soft towards Kuyt !!!!!!  :D

Anyway, what I've always said (even when he played in Holland) Kuyt is not a world class striker and he would be at his best behind Torres alongside of Gerard. He would be a pain in the a@s of the other side, make a lot of assists and will get his goal once in a while (more than a regular forward midfield player).

But then again I didn't become a manager :p
