Apologies if this has been done recently but I've not actually seen a poll.

I'm asking this because I know there's a lot of people who want rid but I'm interested to know how many people on here would give him another chance. I'm also interested to see how the anti-kuyt people value him.

One request though, can comments/criticisms of him be thought out rather than offensive?

Would love to see Dirk back on the scoresheet but cant ever see it becoming a regular thing in the role he is playing!
I would sell him for 5 or 6 million, cut our losses and maybe then crouch would get more of a chance to prove himself and torres are our best front pairing!

I'd sell him if we had a decent offer, never release on a free.

In the mean time I'd support him. I liked a lot the support that Crouch received when he had a terrible drought the first season. The fans egged and protected the player. Kuyt perhaps must be sold, but he has to be respected in the pitch as he gives everything. That unsung work Rafa mentions does exist, and while I agree his goal tally is not good enough, I wouldn't deny him my support. Only lazy players that do not train well deserve that.

I've just realised that I was trying to make sure the poll worked so much that i didn't give my own opinion on Kuyt.

When I thought up the poll I was sure that I'd give him another season. He definitely has talent to be a decent (but not great) striker. Unfortunately his form this season has been woeful. It can be attributed to a whole host of things - his father passing away, low confidence, the role he's asked to play - but the bottom line is, he isn't scoring. I think he's worth more than £5m and my heart says keep him but my head says if a decent bid comes in (Hello Mr Keegan) we should take it. Then next season we can have Torres, Crouch, Brand-spanking-new world class striker, and a youngster as our forwards.

I think he has probably got to go now, I think he needs a major shift in circumstances or surroundings to get back to his Feynoord form. Shame cause he had a decent 1st season and I though he would really kick on from it, sadly the loss of his father seems to have affected him very badly and his confidence is low. There is still time for him to turn it around so lets pull together for the diggler!

i will even sell kuyt for 3 million.....  I know the last year has been tough for him and all.... but we can't afford to let him bring us down.

The best case senario....kuyt goes back to holland and becomes the dutch hero he was before he came here...

I would put him into the reserves for a while and see if he can regain some form, if not sell him to the highest bidder. He should not be playing at the moment as he is a waste of a player position but I'm sure Rafa does not see it that way  :sniffle
