Just seen Rafa's interview, he was clearly upset and I thought the interviewer was well out of order

You must get excited by league cup wins then and super cups(which is the european equivelent of the Charity shield, nothing more than a curtain raiser to the new european capaign) Benitez has had bad buys put the quality ones :censored: all over Houliiers ones.

It is the £ 7 million mark and below where Rafa has had less success
Having said that in a lot of cases he has decided to cut his losses and recouped some of the fee.
A lot of Houllier's signings ending up going for nothing or at a large loss

However I do believe at long last that he has took us as far as he can.Give Kenny the job to the end of the season

by the way 3-0 to fulham

:D

I think you make me sick fella.Don't slag of Houllier he was a great servant for our club and he has won more then Rafa has and those players you slag off so much was a big part in us winning the CL in 2005.

The guy had a heart attack ffs I think he found it hard after that.

oh dear, roberto first off we won 8 cups under Gh, and when we won the CL it was GH's team, also, when Gh took over we had the worst defence in europe, he turned it into the best, Gh finished 2nd with a points total that any other prem season up till that point would have won it, he also won a treble, my point is Gh deserves a lot of credit for putting liverpool back on the map.

Gh made bad signing but he also made some great ones, jerzy dudek, sami hyppia, stephane henchoz, and he also brought stevie into the team.

as for king kenny stop letting your heart rule your head he has been out the game management wise for over 10 years.

Yeah 8 cups mostly consisting of league cups and super league cups and charity shields no doubt thrown in there.I have respect for what Houliier did initially but he bought some of the worst players to ever put our shirt on and stuck with them.Wouldn't exactly call Jerzy Dudek "A Great signing" his only one I would give you is Sami.

All I said was if Benitez left us he would leave us with a much better team than Houllier did.As for kenny, I only said to the end of the season as he would come in fresh and no doubt pick the players up.

I am struggling with your argument. Benitez's current squad is awful except for Reina, Torres and Gerrard. The rest are average or below at best. Can you honestly see seven players out of Benitez's squad coming back form three goals down to win the CL ???? ??????

Am I missing something here?

Who was our manager when we won the CL ?

Houllier had most of his signings playing yes but he inherited Carragher and Gerrard and he also never bought Alonso and Garcia.

ffs Rafa was the manager who led us to the Cl not Houllier

Green rafa aint won the league he won two cups GH won eight so if your talking about trophies he was more successful  and CL final respect to Rafa but who scored the second goal? Who made the double save from shevchenko in the last min of extra time? all the penalty scorers where GH signings and the keeper who saved the last penalty was a GH signing too so if this argument between u and bobby is about players from houlliers squad and Rafa's then bobby win's

We are abysmal. From the manager to the players, to the owners....an absolute shambles of a club. We see the blueshyte regularly outperform and embarrass us and they have half the players we have. Difference is though, every single one of them has a pair of nads and won't give up. Us ? An embarrassment to the same club that gave us Dalglish, Hansen, Lawrenson, Fairclough, Souness....An embarrassment to the memory of Shankly, Fagan et al.
I'll say it again - I am ashamed to say I am a fan of this club.
Bottom of the table club beats last season's runners-up. A phuckin' disgrace, that's what they are....

What a way to have to make your 2000th post....a disgrace.

..choose yer words a bit wiser.  Massively disappointed in the players and the manager, sure.  Ashamed of the club - f**k off then and support someone else!

A lot of those original flops also finished 30 points of the pace in Rafas first season. If they were so good then we would have played better and Houllier wouldn't have been sacked.

:nod

and by the way it wasn't 8 cups it was 6.

it was

2000-01 League Cup
2000-01 FA Cup
2000-01 UEFA Cup
2001-02 FA Charity Shield
2001 UEFA Super Cup
2002-03 League Cup

2 were the mighty micky mouse cups
2 were curtain raisers to the league and europen events

so the credible Fa cup and not so credible uefa

big WOW
