LIVERPOOL VS ARSENAL - 13th december 2009 , 16:00 kick off

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby Toffeehater » Wed Dec 09, 2009 10:36 pm

Alright now with the champions league out of mind and we don't have to worry about the Europa League till February , we have to focus our attention to the league. We host arsenal who are without van persie and clichy/gibbs.Rafa has a fully fit squad to choose from for the first time this season. I'd like to see us line up like this.

                                    Reina
Johnson             Agger               Carragher           Aurelio

                                    Masch

Kuyt                               Aquilani                    Yossi

                        Gerrard                 Torres

1-1 , kuyt for us and fabregas for them

FFS Toffee I hope you are a lucky thread starter mate, because we could certainly do with some.

I've never started a thread for a match which we have gone on to lose. I didn't want to start this one for fear of jeapordising my enviable record.

Same here Mick, but I think I have only started one and we didn't win either (Blackburn) so I retired undefeated   :D

I think the only ones I've started that we lost were a Carling Cup game and last night's dead rubber.

1-1 , kuyt for us and fabregas for them

for me that's our best eleven.

that won't be the side though. insua and lucas will start.

My Best eleven is:

                         Reina

Johnson    Carragher    Agger    Aurelio

              Aquilani     Mascherano

Benayoun         Gerrard            Riera

                      Torres

Would love to see that play against Arsenal  :D  I think we are in with a chance against them. We play better against big teams and we have a nearly full squad.

Also, I loved what Rafa did against Fiorentina last night. Dont know if anybody noticed but whenever Aquilani came forward, Gerrard would drift further out to the right.. hence the amount of crosses he was putting in. And he has a sweet, sweet cross. If Torres was on that pitch he would have put a few away

My team would be

                                   Reina
Johnson              Agger               Carragher           Aurelio

                Lucas                    Mascherano

Gerrard                                                     Riera

                      Pacheco                Torres

Aquilani as an impact sub  in the second half ,if the game is tight ,Kelly on the bench along with benayoun

I LOVE BEATING ARSENAL   :;):

I would basically use the same players as Fauxy but with a slight different in formation.

                       Reina

Johnson    Carragher    Agger    Aurelio

                 Mascherano

Benayoun   Gerrard  Aquilani     Riera

                    Torres

Easier for Aquaman if he's closer to the front as he's quite attacking minded player. We played too defensively in our previous matches and with Masch current form, should be sufficient for the defense.

Aqua is not a defensive midfielder mate
