It's not even a sport anymore, its a media driven entertainment business. The working class who made football so popular have been outpriced of OUR GAME,am fooking sick of it. And most of the players of ALL clubs don't give a f.uck.

We have had sufficient money to be much better than we are. Its poor signings that have cost us.

It really was unfair for City to win it by 3, but I believe that they still deserved to win it, just not by that many goals. Do we still have the best defense?

Downing has been very poor you can tell he has no confidence at all right now, the service for Carroll was absolutely dire.  Carroll actually did very well in the first half but the service he gets is :censored: poor.  Don't want to hear about starting Stevie, he wasn't ready and be patient ffs he hasn't been healthy for about 8 months and we want to rush him back?  We weren't even that poor, City were very poor imo but we just ran out of ideas.  Downing needs a goal or he's gonna keep playing like this.  I still have belief in the team though we just need to finally get some goals and get a little streak going for confidence and we will be ok.

On another note I'm worried about Pepe, our defense has been solid but he hasn't been sharp all season long and toward the end of last season.

controlled the game?  Name me 3 clear cut chances we've had to score?

Apart from Downing's chance in the first half we've been unable to get at their goal. Why? Man City have shut up shop and hit us on the break. We're not controling anything, we're just passing the ball around and doing feck all with it.

well.... we've lost. away from home, against the best team in the league, with our key players missing. the score line flatters them beyond belief. we're still a work in progress and it might take some time but lets keep the faith, eh?

to all those who have spent the entire match slagging off the players and the manager... go fúck yourselves.

We sign foreigners from now on. Look at the ones we have signed, Suarez and Enrique, both have been excellent. The british lads have let us down. F*uck the FA, f*ck England. Put Liverpool first and sign quality foreign players.

For new signings we should be looking towards la liga.

for the last 6 matches i've seen us get worse, and worse, and worse. I've also seen our transfers fail at a level never seen before. Serisouly, we have NEVER spent so much money on players this bad. NEVER

I agree
Weve shot ourself in the foot here tonight. This is the richest and supposedly best club in the league and weve gifted them the victory.

Agree as well, we just really didn't create much.  Kompany was way too solid in the back.  THey got a red and that could have been a turning point, but the ref immediately gave them a pen for Toure's dive and that was it for us.

After Gerrard and Bellamy came on it seemed the ball was just too heavy, and everything was too slow for them to make a really good impact.

We have to now concede that we have bought several very one dimensional players who looked very good in mid table teams that they used to play: Andy Carroll, Charlie Adam and Downing. They do not suit the way Kenny sets up the team to play and Kenny has only himself to blame. Adam Johnson has more talent than all 3 combined. I'm not as critical towards Henderson because he has talent but he hasn't developed fully as a footballer... he needs the rest of the team play well in order to contribute.

BTW Kompany was brilliant for them...

You must be. We've not totally out played them and we've not really looked likely to score.

But the spirit of your post is right. We've played well and there is no way this was a 3-0 defeat. We may have a team of useless, over-priced Brits, but they weren't too far from the most expensive team in the league today.

Patience friends. Losing to Man City away isn't the worse result we've had this season.
