It worked for the first half, it seems we had a stroke of good fortune with the penalty, so unlike Liverpool these days! So I was thinking to myself, I shouldn't watch. But I couldn't resist, started a stream 5 minutes into the second half and bam, dzeko scores. And I was cursing myself to have not been able to resist the temptation of watching. Thankfully I decided to go back to not watching again :P

Never watch Liverpool again !!

Enlighten me please mate.

His £15 million move eventually fell through, but having left Villa for City the following season, Barry insists that he now counts his blessings that he chose Eastlands over Anfield.

"I remember when the transfer saga was going on, I was watching a Liverpool friendly [against Lazio at Anfield] and the home fans were singing, 'You can stick your Gareth Barry up your a.rse. I was at home, but I could just hear it vaguely. That might have got into my head a little bit.

"Liverpool were still interested when I decided to join City [in 2009]. I thought about it really hard, but the things the club were talking about, I felt City were on the up, whereas Liverpool were maybe finding it a bit tougher than City."

and the sentiment remains

'you can stick your Gareth barry up yer a.rse!!'

It's also a route into Europe you muppet.  And anyway I will be made up to win the Carling Cup, success breeds confidence
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

Just back from the game and despite what the "Job's Comforters" may say about the gravity of the Carling Cup let me tell you this - When your in the Cauldron at Anfield willing your team on it makes absolutely NO difference what trophy you are playing in.

I went to Bolton Away Saturday and it was as grim as it gets there with a lack lustre performance resulting in a 3-1 loss.

Tonight KK gave those players an opportunity to redeem themselves and 9 of the starting 11 started tonight and played like it mattered and for that I'm truly thankful. It is important to me that for some players at least know what it means to represent Liverpool Football Club

When Fans cherry pick the games they deem to be "important" then slate the players when they under perform it smacks of hypocrisy IMO.

I have been lucky to be at many Finals and in terms of atmosphere there is NO difference when your there !

Was Dortmund 2001 any less exciting then Istanbul 2005?

Was Cardiff League Cup Final 2001 any less than Cardiff Fa Cup Final 2001 ?

It might have been for some who watch on TV but when your there it matters not a bit what your playing for, this is Liverpool FC and you want to win whatever the prize !

Walk on .............
