LIVERPOOL VS MANCHESTER CITY - Semi final 2nd leg Weds 25/01/2012

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby dundreamin » Mon Jan 23, 2012 1:19 am

The most important game this season so far. We need to step up to the plate and show the country what LFC are all about. All those who play need to put in 110% no excuses. But I am not that confident at the moment. Come weds am sure I will feel different. 1-1 on the night minus no fingernails

spelling our teams name wrong, great start :D
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

We can't sit back, need to get a goal.

I hope Spearing is playing and wouldn't be surprised to see Carra play also.

I've rearranged band rehearsals so I'm available to go watch this game but after the weekend I'm not sure I can.

I'm going for 0-2 to City. Sorry folks but thats how I see it.

Errrrr....if we DO win (and I reckon that's about as likely as my hair growing back !) that means the Merseyside derby will be rearranged....meaning my flight is money down the pan.....though the ticket will be still valid for the rearranged game.....
I don't know which result I want  ???

Gonna be a very tough game obviously but if we do win you'd imagine we'll go on to lift the trophy and be back in Europe.  Could also give us a bit of a boost to push on in the league if we're still in the race for 4th

At the moment I'm not feeling good about this game but maybe it will be enough to motivate the players, certainly the bloated salaries or sense of respect for fans and club don't seem to be able to do it!!  :veryangry

Balloteli won't play City didn't Appeal.

Not sure it is a good thing as this Donkey head would have probably gotten himself sent off against us.  :)

This lad has got to be one the most disgusting players out their today ,giving Pepe from Madrid (another criminal on the pitch) a fight for his money.

it says it all when i'm more confident about this game and united at the weekend than i am about going to wolves next week.

it's hard to know how we'll approach this. i just hope we don't try and sit on what we have or we'll be asking for trouble.

1-1 although it wouldn't surprise me if it went to extra time.

                    Reina

Johnson  Skrtel  Agger  Enrique

                 Spearing

         Henderson  Gerrard

Downing      Kuyt        Bellamy

Going for dirk up front as he offers that little bit more protection and would serve to break up city a little bit.

Hopefully spearing will be fit, think he has progressed well prior to his injury.

Sticking with henderson and downing purely because eventually one of them will do something decent.........yeah i know, its a longshot.

2-1 to the red men.

was under the impression they had until a couple of hours before the second leg to appeal, or have they decided not to and i'v missed it?
Stu Averill, a wannabe Scouse/Scot. I remember the good times & have faith in them comin back

Beside the Hillsborough Flame, I heard a Koppite mournin, "Why so many taken on that day?" Justice has never been done. But their memory we'll carry on. There'll be Glory Round The Fields Of Anfield Road

if he's not fit i wouldn't be surprised if we go 3 at the back. we're asking for trouble playing without a recognised defensive midfielder, especially with silva's ability to play in between the lines.
