Great game so far, Liverpool finally getting something for all our domination.

James thinks he's still playing for us, almost passed to Mori about 30 mins into the half.

Better not rest on this lead though, we'd wanna go all out again, and start to make up some ground with our strikers. Our link up play in the final third of the pitch is not up to scratch still. We need some quality balls in for Mori and Crouch. Looks like we are mucking around with it too much.

Agger-Hyypia combo is an interesting one. Hyypia usually is on the left side when he is with Carra, but Agger is naturally left footed, so Hyypia has to adjust.

Kromkamp is not a winger, lol. You can see it, he's built for RB. Finnan should overlap more.

Kewell, well, that was a quality pass from Stevie, and Kewell slotted it home wonderfully. Cisse would have hit it straight at the keeper methinks.

Alonso after he came back on looked dazed. Might be a bit concussed, lets hope not.

All in all, a great first half, fast tempo, some wonderful skills on show. I just hope we start some quality balls into our strikers, cos they aint playing badly at all. Mori is doing fantastic, and Crouch, well, Crouch does what Crouch does. And that aint bad. :blues:

Its a gash, had blood streaming out. Might be a bit concussed, and the docs have to do some more repair work, cos it was still peeing out as he was coming off the park.

I thought that was a really good professional half there. We probably deserve to be a couple in front but we are doing alright. I'm made up about Agger above all else to be honest. I was unconvinced by his debut against Brum but he looks a real talent. He's definately more of a Hansen type than a Hyppia as he appears to have a lovely touch on the ball. Thank God because my feeling is that Man U have bought a dud in Vidik and I feared we may have done the same. We haven't, the boy can really play.
As a footnote and in the interests of fairness, I thought that was one of Morientes's best halves in a Liverpool shirt. He showed for it into feet, protected it and won the odd free kick. His silky touch remains and he was quite effective. Fair play to him.

(As a further footnote and having read it back, I'm not saying Sami hasn't got a good touch on the ball aswell, merely making the point that Agger looks to be definately in the footballing centre half mould, whereas Sami to me is more of a stopper who wins headers all day. Agger is by no means IMHO a direct and similar replacement for Hyppia. I'll be interested to see him (Agger) tested for pace.)

Atleast he won't being playing for Spain in midweek and that's a bonus. Sorry Sabre.
