LIVERPOOL VS ASTON VILLA - Sun 22/3/09 4.p.m.

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby KennyisGod....still » Sat Mar 21, 2009 6:02 pm

Doesn't change anythin as far as the game tomoro goes, it was always a must win - but now there's that little bit more hope. Maybe the rest of the EPL are gonna stand up and play ushited the way we did last week, cuz I can't see where that fulham display and Roy Hodgson's words midweek overlap! Fair play to his team, they had them against the ropes first half specially, and cudda gone in 2/3 up at half time.

Strange how mobile phones dont seem to work after a manc defeat.......... :p

Old Danny boy is the curse of the mancs again!

This has to be the best week since Istanbul for us, we just need to top it off tomorrow. Our outline this season was to be involved in the title race and if we win tomorrow we will be right bang in it.

Lets have a bit of positivity on here cos we are in a great position

Please pick your strongest team benitez.....Gerrard, Torres, Alonso, Auerlio, Mascherano should all start.

If we can bring it to a point.....it is another nail in manure's coffin.

Really? Id rather they lose. That way when we win tomorrow Villa don't lose much ground. So the following week they go to Utd still in good spirits.  :D

Right Chelsea lost as well. We can get within 1 point of Utd and 3 points clear of Chelsea. Tomorrows game is going to be massive!

Its crucial thats we win against aston villa now. This will be probably the 5th time this season when a challenger drops points and we have the chance to capitalise on it.. MUST WIN!!!!!  No more excuses

This is a huge opportunity to get right back into the title race. I really believed we were out of it.

Strong team - attacking football please.

MON's no dozer. He may decide that the way to beat us is to back 10 men and a bus behind the ball and try and nick a goal on the break. If that's the case we have to play high tempo aggressive attacking football and Torres and Stevie should break them down. What a chance we've got now.

I really hope Benny will be fit enough to throw him in the second half if Villa will park the bus. It's a must win game tomorrow, and we might need him against close defences. Come on you Reds!

LOL, tough one to call aint it?  :p  I'd prefer the goonies to win and have villa's confidence knocked a little. Then they get 2 weex to get over it before facin the falterin mancs with fire in their bellies from MON.

Can't rely on other teams, I accept that, but oh to dream..........
