Sorry we all can't be upto your footballing wisdom just out of curosity who would be the midfield you sign and the striker you'd sign?

We don't have Bowyer because Houllier & Thompson were incomptent in dealing with plus, he was a complete :censored: and just came to Anfield to play pool. However thank the Lord we don't have him.  :D

With Birmingham down I get the feeling quite a few clubs will be going for Pennant. Although, he's definitely not a Championship player that's for sure and I can't think of a Premiership team with a brighter looking future than us...

Nice one Ace!

I'd still take a punt on Gera, though...he looks a useful player, even if only as a squad player.

Plus, if he's even half as good as Gerrard--and his name suggests that he is :p --he might turn into a wee gem for us!

Perhaps, mate, but we'd likely have the inside track because...

1) Chelsea don't need him and won't want him--with the kind of quality they can afford to buy, they'll only be looking at the top wingers in the world if they decide to go shopping for wide men again this summer.

2) Arsenal are not about to buy him back after washing their hands of him.

3) I don't see the Mancs going for him.  They've already got Chrissy Ronaldo out there, with Park as cover if need be.  Besides, I don't think Fergie would buy a Wenger cast-off on principle.

As such, we'd be in the driver's seat to sign the lad, I would suspect.

how funny was carra's lad and the other kid (who's was it?) that ran towards the kop and centenary? :D

Something else I noticed aswell was that you can't imagine carra playing for anyone but Liverpool, if he ever left I think he'd have to retire :D
