Crouch proving again that he should be in the side at all costs, zonal marking proving again it shouldn't be in the side.

Very impressed by the young Plessiss. Good neat passes, couple of crunching tackles which is always good to see, and even a shot from the edge of the box. All round good debut and wouldn't see him given more of a go in future.

and where do u play crouch in the current system if u also want to play torres?

Judging from the comments on here, it would appear that we played well.
Gooners' title hopes looks to be gone now.

Couldn't see the match... they're not televising here but judging from the videos hijawi put up, Voronin looks really rusty..... I wouldn't say sh!te as he DID manage to get himself into a good position, especially in the 2nd instance.... but touch and composure was not there.

All in all, happy with the result. :D

We could've won it the first half Conn when Arsenal weren't at the races but we didn't really have the pace to exploit our advantage. Crouchie played really well winning loads high balls , if Torres had been on (alongside Crouch) he would have had a field day.

Second half Arsenal remembered how good they can be and really gave us a game , 1-1 was probabably a fair reflection of the game with both sides missing some sitters, Arsenal somehow always looked a bit more manacing than us when going forward.

Lot of people having a pop at Voronin (who wasn't good) but the real "weakest link" today was Pennant , absolute sh'ite ! half the time he looked as though he thought he was playing in some local park 5 a side kick about , no focus or determination and f'uck all skill.

crouch will be an absolutely disaster playing in kuyt's current position...

rafa must change the formation.... current systems wont accommodate both at one time :)

Good result for us.  I think Rafa called it right in the post-match interview - it was a game that we could well have lost, but also could have won, so we can be happy with a draw.

Pleased to see Crouch get a run-out and score, pleased with Plessis' debut and pleased that we have got a decent result and managed not to pick up any injuries ahead of the big game in the Champions League.

Wasn't impressed with Riise or Voronin, neither really covered themselves in glory I don't think.

Not happy with the goal conceded, but it was an individual error by Reina, so I don't want to hear anyone talking sh.it blaming it on zonal marking, it had absolutely nothing do do with zonal marking so lets nip that in the bud now.

meant if he wants to put both crouch and torres together...

and that is why it wont happen because there is no need for changes of formation / system at the moment...

I blame that goal on Pennant , no need for that tackle as he had cover.

Good result for us in the end all things considered and what we put out there.

Geez i was embarrassed for Voronin in the end especially after a great little run but he was rusty as old gate

I'm satisfied with a point but we must use these 2 matches to know what Wenger will do for the next match against us. I'm sure whenever they have a set pieces, they will just serve it up in the penalty area. We got so many missed assignment and how hard can it be to mark a person as we outnumbered them. We must improve or we are doomed. Wenger will probably use Walcott late in games as he was a threat constantly.

On the side, enough said about Voronin, hope he is gone. Pennant too. These are two really lazy and sh!t players. Crouch is first class and hope he stays and Rafa should give him some run along side with Torres.
