Man utd v liverpool - 21/03/2010 1.30

Liverpool Football Club - Games

I actually quite fancy us to get a result here. The game is absolutely set up for us in that the Mancs will be going absolutely all out for the win, meaning we can play 100% on the counter. Provided we can defend properly I think we can nick a 2-1 win, ior at worst a 2-2.

Torres is going to be up for this. He's on form no doubt about it and I'm sure he would just like to challenge himself with the likes of Vidic and Ferdinand. And show Rooney why he's the striker in the FIFA XI instead of him.

SHUT YEH MOUTH AND FECK OFF

Sir Alex Ferguson hits out at FA over Steven Gerrard's elbow reprieve• Discipline unit is 'dysfunctional', says United manager
• Liverpool 'are lucky' over possible suspensions

The Guardian, Saturday 20 March 2010 Article history
Sir Alex Ferguson wants unemployed managers to staff the FA's disciplinary department.

Sir Alex Ferguson has described the Football Association's disciplinary department as a "dysfunctional unit" and called for a complete overhaul of its procedures after claiming that Liverpool were given preferential treatment to Manchester United.

Ferguson was responding to the FA's decision not to punish Liverpool's captain, Steven Gerrard, for the use of his forearm on Portsmouth's Michael Brown at Anfield on Monday. "I don't think they know what they are doing," the United manager said. "But I certainly think if it was a Manchester United player he would have been done, as was the case with Rio Ferdinand. It is crazy at times. You scratch your head. Everybody scratches their heads at some of these decisions. You scratch your head but it will always be that way."

Ferguson was referring to Ferdinand's three-match ban for swinging his arm into the face of Hull City's Craig Fagan in January, a punishment that was increased to four matches when the champions lodged an appeal.

Gerrard would have been banned from Liverpool's trip to Old Trafford tomorrow if he had been found guilty of an FA charge of violent conduct and Ferguson alleged that the Anfield club historically got away with more than United. "We know that. They do all right. They are lucky like that. Maybe one day we will get lucky."

Massive odds. Might be worth £20.

Some comments from the Redcafe:

"We're getting beat again."

"I am always excited when we play Arsenal, I am always confident when we play Chelsea. Why am I always nervous when we play Liverpool? I hate the feeling "

"Loosing to the :censored: brings weeks of misery with it."

"Same here. It's like a nervousness that makes me sick, especially having lost last 3 against them...the fear of it being a double double tomorrow is so worrying and making the wait til the game unbearable!"

"the fear of defeat against those dippers make it unbearable for us, we must win tomorrow."

"starting to get the feeling Gerrard is going to get a winning goal after this latest farce by the FA"

"I wouldn't be too quick to write off Liverpool. They are going to treat this game like a feckin Champions League Final"

"Three consecutive defeats against Liverpool now. The rot needs to stop"

"I have a feeling this will be a very very difficult match for us."

They clearly are afraid of us. :-) Let's hope we won't prove them wrong.

:D :D :D :D :D

I'm afriad of them.  How many times has Valencia crossed to Rooney for him to score a header?  Let's look at our aerial defence, then Insua, then our in ability to score away.  I'm hoping for a win, I just dont see it happening.

I fancy us to come from behind, 3:1

that said is it still true that whenever the Mancs have lost they haven't scored?

There's no way Liverpool gonna win this one, or even a draw. The Asian bookie has again corrupted FA to assign Howard Webb for this match. Just mark my word, some small decision by this c**t would make a huge difference and cost Liverpool 3 points.

It's a good news for gamblers though, you can easily predict the result when this c**t is on.

I'd settle for a point but it will be a score drawer so we'll have to attack.

Rooney's on fire so whoevers CB is going to have to play the game of his life. I'd go for The Greek.

Cross fingers, helmets on and give every drop of blood you have.

Come on red boys!
