Pennant doesn't look up to it today, same with Kuyt other than causing the goal.  Carra is playing really well but thats to be expected.  I am happy with how much of a threat torres is, really creative and dangerous, REEEAAAALLLY want him to score in the 2nd half.  Need better crossing from the left they seem vulnerable (or at least thats what the commentators have said about 50 times :)   )  Want to see Babel on for Arbeloa, move riise to LB,  put on Voronin for Kuyt, and maybe sissoko for alonso late to see how his form is

I don't think kuyt's done too much wrong. He's linked up quite well, the problem he's had so far is that he's either miscontrolled in the box or more often he's had bad passes to him.

Give him 15 mins and if it's not going for him unleash the Voronator :blues:

As for Pennant, I get the feeling he has the beating of the full back for pace, he just needs to use it. If not, he should cut inside. It caused problems for Villa the first time he did it.

I'd also give Babel a run at Gardner. With the space to cut inside he should be a bigger danger than Riise (prob take off Arbeloa).

Kuyt best  player on the pitch for me so far, non stop work rate as usual but forcing mistakes to. Great work for the goal, could of watched it out for a corner but had the intelligence to pull it back, no changes needed as far as i am concerned.

I can see this ending up 3-0

kuyt has played well, his link up play and his workrate have been fantastic, best player in the 1st half

Im not watching the game, because i dont have the channel that shows it, so im looking at the gamecast in soccernet.com, shows that we are doing pretty well but missing alot of good chances in the 2nd half.
