If Kenny wants it, I'd give it to him. Either a one year contract, extended if he finishes top four or situation reassessed if he doesn't, OR a two year contract up for review after two years. I would insert a clause saying either party can terminate the agreement at any time with two months notice in lieu of compensation.
I'd rather the decision maker(s) assess someone like Woy than react to his Euro Disney "achievement". In two seasons he had a decent finish of 7th followed by midtable mediocrity of 12th when you'd hope for progress, or at least not to drop more than two places (allowing for Citeh and spudz doing better). And in the cups he had a run in the EDL in ONE season and facing sides up to and including the final who finished no higher than SEVENTH in their domestic league. He needs to prove he can make his teams overachieve, I would say last season he didn't. It is only that noone expected ANYTHING from Fulham in Europe that we're thinking his team overachieved, reaching a final is ok but then why not mention Avram Grant (now unavailable) or smeegel who both reached the FA Cup final and lost to abetter side than Fulham did?!?!? If you believe anything the bitters claim then smeegel manages good finishes with a small squad, no money or spending and with injuries blighting the squad every minute of every season. Their last four seasons have ended 6th, 5th, 5th, 8th which is more consistent than Fulham although Fulham don't spend as much as the bitters - if you believe bitters, they don't ever pay fees for players and their squad cost the least of all Premiership clubs, they never quote that teams like Burnley pay like £4m for their entire squad and that, if you order the Premiership by cost of squad, they would be only one place lower than they finished last season (Sunderland being the team spending more than them yet finishing lower)
DISCLAIMER : I am not advocating we go for smeegel, just pointing out that his CV is comparable with Woy yet Woy seems to be man of the moment. As if a bitter managing us is an incredibly likely or attractive an option
