yeah, because Capello and Anchelotti dont know what they're doing. Look at the mess they've made of England and Chelsea!

Anchelotti:  First year in english football.. won the PL, FA cup and CL last 16.

Capello:  Has had success at many clubs.  Qualified England for the WC while hardly breaking a sweat.      Could be a hero forever after next month...

Trapatoni: Im Irish and i know we have a pretty average squad at present.  But he almost guided Ireland to the WC.  Not even italy could beat us in the qualifiers.  Despite the powers that be changing the rules to suit the big countries right at the end, ireland drew France and out played them in Paris.  If it wasnt for a blatant handball it could of been ireland going to SA.

Lippi has won the CL and WC etc and would be a great manager.

Whatever...Go for those boring ,tactical defensive managers...I'm sick and tired of this genere ,rotating endlessly between Juve/Milan/Inter..If you think those elegant geezers is what we need good for you.

Lippi would be a great coup. But the question is would he come knowing we will have limited funds? Not trying to hedge everything on a rumor but if these rumors about an imminent takeover are true then he should still be pursued as a long term manager.

Tell you truth i havn't got my mind set on anyone in particualr ,I would love to See Hidink which always impressed me in taking on big challanges ,taking teams which were underdogs and still able to play a surprising positive attacking football.

Liverpool next season would need someone with tendency or ability to surprise ,Italian managers are anything but imaginative

Hiddink has a new job though and as such, ruled himself out. Rijkaard also ruled himself out.

The only manager to show interest so far is Sven.  people say he did a bad job at City but i actually think he did quite well and was unfairly sacked.  (still dont want him though).

Im hoping for a Lippi, van Gaal or possibly Arry Redknapp.

Van Gaal or Lippi would make me happy. Hope Kenny's reading and taking notes :D

He is my fav has been for years , i said months ago he would be the only one for me to replace Rafa, you only have to look at the pedigree of the man and the total repect he claims world wide, . hes got a great philoshophy on the game and tactics, his idea of a top team is not every player world clas but a few and the rest medioca ,all working for each other ,ill have that. Ive followed this man for years .brilliant brilliant tacticion. Sad thing is hes never been lured away from Italy, and has very stong ties with Juve which could be a stubling block.

On the other side ,suave , Paul Newman like,  :;): so if he came here id be over the moon,
HE WHO BETRAYS WILL ALWAYS WALK ALONE

I really think we need a manager with Premier League experience as it could take a foreign manager a year to get to know what's going on.

My choice is 1) 'arry, 2) MON and 3) Woy
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

Prem experience doesnt concern me.  I want someone firstly who has a record of getting his sides playing expansive attacking football.

I dont post that often, but do read and browse a fair bit, personally i would like to see John Toshack back at anfield with perhaps Roy Evans as his number 2

Tosh speaks various languages, which would help with our foreign lads, on top of this he has been succesful at many of europes top clubs over the years

We need a guy that will settle in quick, understands the culture and has a decent understanding of what it takes to manage Liverpool. The fella also needs to know how to operate and win games in this Premier League. Another foreign manager may not be the answer this time following Houllier and Benitez, more settling in and getting used to the enviroment, the ways and that.Thats time we dont have or can afford to waste and personally I feel we need a British manager to get us back on track. Some of these foreign lads appear all that and and have done well in other leagues but its a different ballgame on the parks here week in week out and I bet even Rafa himself would tell you that.
