Ok so Lippi, Redknapp, Hiddink, and Rijkaard have all ruled themselves out.  Jose chose Madrid.  Hell even Avram Grant has a new job.

Its looking more and more like Woy  :(

Looks like the "pessimists" were right about how easy it would be to find a new manager.

I'd be happy with Roy Hodgson and not just on the back of this past season. He did an amazing 'turnaround' job with Inter in the mid 90s.  He's managed 3 national teams.  He's English which for some reason, I'd like (though there's no real reason to think that helps in any way).  Think he'd steady the ship.  Probably help get the talented youth at the club through.  Would be far better adapted at working with limited funds in the interim (until we get some investment) and that's not a point to be underestimated.  How d'ya think that tw#t Errikson would fare without £100m to spend every bloody year?

Go on Roy.  Let's have ya.  Roy's a nice name too.  Roy.

more than likely its going to be woy,it would be an ideal appointment with kenny either as assistant manager or 1st team coach.
with woy at the helm and kenny and sammy bringing up the rear we could be on to something better than a 7th place finish:D

this is so depressing :( no-one wants to manage us and what weight will woy carry with the likes of Mascha, Torres abnd Gerrard 'he's fuc'kin ard' ???

I can't believ that we get rid of a world class mnanager and may end-up with 'Roy of the Cottage' - depressing to sya the least, no fire in my belly nowt to look forward to and the club is in sh't everywhere else too !

World cup joy will be a welcome reprieve from this depression !

The world cup can't start soon enough ! No body has any real clue whether or not the likes of Lippi and Van Gaal want the job. Both are in jobs and wont blatantly come out and declare their interest- particular Van Gaal ( has a job ! )

I think abit of calm is needed ;

Saying that I really don't give a flying toss if the likes of mascherano want out ; I think the entire liverpool team has become too foreign - whoever comes needs to address the balance- someone posted a while back that the likes of steve warnock and danny murphy  and crouch were booted out for the likes of josemi and lucas and ngog and they are totally correct.

I'm not advocating a totally buy british policy but it is liverpool fc. I'd like to be able to identify with some of our players !

I would hate it if we did "buy british", they tend to be over-rated and over-priced. Rooney was a relative bargain at what the mancs paid, but Milner mooted at £30m, MON rating Young at £30m also, SWP going to Chelsea for £21m, Lescott at £23m or whatever he finally cost, Barry mooted at £18m, Johnson at £17.5m, talk of fat frank and Gerrard going to Spain for £30m or more at the ages of around 30+. I'd certainly rather we steered well clear of getting into bidding wars, be it over class or mediocrity, simply because they are made in the uk.

If only our academy was still producing quality. Since McManaman, Fowler, Owen and Gerrard who has there been? Warnock was about the next best, assuming I haven't missed a big name, and Rafa preferred ordinary foreigners at LB. Of course English players become available on frees which didn't seem to interest Rafa much, no doubt we'll not go for Cole any more than we did Owen (although obviously Rafa isn't the one who won't do any going for)

Local kids in the side would help, someone who wants to play for the club and not just someone who says they're a lifelong fan, or touches the sign on the way out the tunnel, or quotes Gerry lyrics to try and identify with the fans.
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

from RAWK:

TheKopMagazine twitter

One of our sources reckons Roy Hodgson has agreed to become the next Liverpool manager.

they all seem convinced this is for real.
