I dont post that often, but do read and browse a fair bit, personally i would like to see John Toshack back at anfield with perhaps Roy Evans as his number 2

Tosh speaks various languages, which would help with our foreign lads, on top of this he has been succesful at many of europes top clubs over the years

The more names that get thrown into the hat the more you realise what a difficult job it is and how that person has to be at their prime to get the best out of the team.

Afraid Tosh and Evans aren´t in that catigory.

I've seen dozens of Toshack training sessions in Real Sociedad.

He would get spot on 99% of the signings, which is something important when you don't have the money.

In the bad side, he is too traditional. No goalies specific coaching, no physical specific coaching. Meaning Toshack ruled from the first detail to the last detail.

If Toshack learnt to put the trust in the different coaches, then he'd be a great manager. Because he has the eye for signings ups and he knows reading games. But can an old dog learn new tricks?

Man management wise he'd be temperamental. I remember one night in which after a cup defeat, he saw the players making jokes. He made famous how he got up the players 4.am to get them into the bus to San Sebastian, and when they arrived at 10.00 am, a training session.

Toshack is one guy I respect a lot, but I don't know how he'd do in such a big club with so many CL games.

Heart wise, he's a red through and through, and there's no week in which he doesn't talk about Liverpool in the local newspaper.

Toshack isn't the answer he could have come back in 91 but chose not to. Lippi is a decent coach but the Italian coaches would just follow the tactics of slow walking pace football which Benitez was renowned for. Lippi wouldn't win the premiership there are few European coaches who would. That said Benitez was only 4 points from winning it.

he has helped the development of some really good young welsh talent such as Gareth Bale, Arron Ramsey, Adam Matthews, Joe Ledley and quite a few more

Managing Wales. And he's been giving stick to Rafa in the last 3 years in a local newspaper (he talks about my local club but always mentions Liverpool stories). He writes columns. But he's quite respectful, meaning, he was one of the first Anti Rafa I knew (earlier than anyone here bar Peewee probably), but when the journos started to give stick to Rafa, he didn't stick the boot in the ribs, nor said I was right all along

In summer, he comes around here to play golf, and eat well.

He could be seen in Anfield a couple of times this season too.

He saw Dalglish as more than a sidekick when Dalglish came, and suggested he could have been brought as a replacement.

He never dared to suggest himself as an option. He has too much respect to Liverpool. But I know he'd love it.

Good shout.  Although OM were not in crisis when Deschamps took over.  Gerets left OM in v good shape. Deschamps done a great in his first season though winning the title and league cup.  The OM job has been a difficult task for many a man as they expect so much and had no title win in 17 years. I would take Deschamps!!

He wont leave yet though.  One more season and a crack at the CL with Marseille.

Let's be realistic here - the two parasites won't pay for a manager to leave a club or country so that leaves unemployed managers and they are unemployed for a reason .

Don't be surprised when Hughes or Klinsmann arrives , they don't be surprised when Torres and Gerrard go in the opposite direction.

Only hope we have to keep the player is if Kenny takes he job but as much as he loves Liverpool I can't see him going for it with the parasites in charge
