WIGAN ATHLETIC VS LIVERPOOL - Wednesday 21st december 20.00pm ko

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby Eagle » Wed Dec 21, 2011 12:30 am

With Wigan having an extra day to recover, I think Kenny will be tempted to include some fresh legs and also protect the players who are more prone to injury. I expect Carroll to start but rather he didn’t.

                       Reina

Kelly     Carragher     Skrtel     Enrique

                 Adam     Henderson

           Maxi     Shelvey     Downing

                        Kuyt

Subs: Suarez, Carroll, Bellamy, Coady, Johnson, Agger, Doni

11-0 All get one each and reveal f*ck the FA vests under their shirts
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

I know our record and how we have performed I just don't spread doom and gloom at every opportunity.

You want to listen to Kenny's interviews once in a while, how many times is he ever negative about the side?

Hardly. The reason - he sees the bigger picture, he is optimistic.

Cheer up son.

Wigan played well against Chelsea the other day so it won't be easy. I think the key tonight will be the width so I expect Downing and Maxi to start with Bellamy rested and Kuyt to partner Luis up front.

Bellamy shouldn't be rested and Kuyt shouldn't be near a football pitch. Same lineup as the Vila game and push on.

to be honest i'd be more fearful if we were at home. our away performances have been decent. we've won five away games compared to only three at home.

I agree. Nowadays I feel more confident of getting the 3 points at away rather than home games. Because we're still a very much feared and a well respected side such that virtually all teams who come to Anfield came to defend and hope to win it by poaching a goal but would be delighted with a draw. But at their home games they won't be concentrating on defence and will result in a more open game.

Come On Reds, Pls win it for us.

Suarez will definitely start.  I think he'll feel he's got a point to prove, and he'll prove it.  Our whole club has a point to prove, and we'll prove it.

4-0 Suarez with 3.

Will Suarez be in the right frame of mind to play tonight?  He's going through a lot at the moment.

I'd get Carroll on the pitch partnering Suarez upfront for this one... The sooner we get him playing anywhere near what we expect of him the better especially given the circumstances.

I'd go with

back 5

Bellamy    Henderson     Adam     Downing

                 Suarez       Carroll

There is a very strong rumour that the lads are all going to be warming up for tonights game wearing Suarez 7 shirts!
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

After the rigmarole the club is having to put with at the mo I expect us to go out with all guns blazing. The best way to put two fingers up to the FA is on the pitch. Heads down, mouths shut and let our football do the talking. Tank the b*stards

now he's munching gladback

Lets hope Suarez gets a couple today, dissapointed that Bellamy didn't start this one instead of Kuyt, but we are strong enough to beat Wigan today lets hope we take our chances this time!

streams anyone?

Agree Bellamy not starting is a bad decision. The only positive is having Downing play at his natural position.
