I fancy us fielding our strongest back four in order to try and match the club clean-sheet record.  In the middle Stevie and Xabi will want a game after being rested...ah hell, let's give em one!  :D

I'd also like to see Cisse back on the left.  No point rushing Harry back after an injury and let's see if Djibs can string two solid back-to-back performances together for once!  Besides, last season's home game proves he can mess with the Villa (who can't?) so let's wind him up and let him loose.

Up front, Crouch and Robbie...end of!

                              Reina
  Finnan          Carra           Hyypia            Riise

  Gerrard         Alonso         Momo             Cisse

                    Crouch         Fowler

Not wanting to be overconfident, but we should walk this one!

Come on lads, end the home campaign in style!  :buttrock

Are all Villa fans THAT depressing? :D

Yes....try workin with them!!  :D  Majority are glad Mondays a bank holiday, saves them takin stick too soon!! Seriously, watchin the rivalry between them and Blues is like watchin a Laurel and Hardy film....no-one comes out a winner, can be excruciatin at times and one week seems much like the last! :p

I still think we can get 2nd, but its all over to Manure to mess up now. Just hope the Chavs beat them tomorrow & obviously us winning, should make the end of the season a little bit intresting for us.

Be nice to know their result before we kick off.

Mind, goes against the grain, but after las weeks rantings from mad maureen i'd almost like the scum to pip ol moneybags to the title. At least we cud be goin into the las game of the season with somethin positive to play for in the Premiership other than attemptin to scrape a champions league place. Second would be such a bonus for the lads, a coupla extra weeks off after the World Cup instead of CL quals.

Some top games potentially next week with relegation, CL quals and possible placings up for grabs. This week could be really close in alot of games, tho I dont see ours bein that close. Hope I aint temptin fate.....

i sort of have a bad feeling about this game, we seem overconfident and they seem to have given up, im hoping its not going to be one of those shock results, probably not though, ill go for 2-0 fowler to play his best game so far and get 2 goals.

Also i would like to think we could still get 2nd but do you really think man u will at least lose 2 and draw 1 of their last 3 games? Highly unlikely, brinking on impossible, they're not sunderland you know! :D  It would be the biggest shock ever to grab 2nd but its not going to happen, i actually fancy the mancs to get something tomorrow..

Yea i am feeling in a rather negative mood at the moment!  :D im just waiting for the inevitable bit of disappointment after a fantastic period for our club, i feel its coming..

Goat, mate...

I seem to recall that you had a bad feeling before the semi and look how that turned out!

You're right, though, disappointment is on the horizon...

Only 3 more matches and then that's it until August for LFC.  Given the form the lads are in, I don't want the season to end!

Oh well, thankfully there's the World Cup to tide us over!
