I'm with The_Rock, I never wanted Kuyt and certainly didn't want us to let go of Bellamy in front of him. Kuyt along with Morientes are two players who when we were linled with them I never wanted. Records abroad mean nothing over here in England, and it was gut instict that neither Kuyt/Morientes could cut it here.
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.

i must confess when we signed him i was pleased - i thought he would be a decent player for us. But now for me- sell him, infact sell veronin and crouch to for that matter.

No I didn't say he "rules" last year or any other year. The fella isn't up to it and never has been.

I did, I thought he had a very good first season. More league goals than any other of Rafa's signings as a striker.

This season he just seems to have lost it, more sluggish, touch sloppier, confidence shot.

I expected more from him, and others, and more from us as a team.

He was, and I thought he would do the business this year.

But he has let me down badly. But I still think he is the partner for Torres.

He is played out of position though to be fair to him. But still the goal return should be alot better than it has been this season. Last season he scored 13 in the league, thats very good. Rooney (26 million) scored 14, granted probably got more assists etc etc but if you compare what united gt and what we got last season it aint to bad.

However this seaon is a very different matter. For all the forwards bar Torres.

The strange thing is...Its not only Kuyt...Its also the rest of the team.
If it wasnt then Liverpool would be on number one.
But yea...its better if he leave. And get Huntelaar instead.

why would we get hunt? what he do that differently from kuyt in the long run?
We need someone now who has experience in the premiership to partner torres

A player with top quality is what we need, if that player is playing outside of the Premiership, so be it.

but what i mean is, that we brought kuyt, who was doing great, where hunt is now, and doing great. i just think its a gamble and for once id like to sign someone and keep them for longer than 12 months

They're different type of players, with different attributes.

I'm not certain about Huntelaar because I don't think he's the solution we need. He's not that creative, he's a target man who scores a lot. I think he has Suarez in behind him, the creative of the two.

I'd sooner go for a player in the mould of Tevez, creative, nippy, can score and create.

If it was possible to get Huntelaar, and sign a player in the mould of Tevez, I'd be all for it. I don't think it's financially feasible though, and may well require the sale of Crouch, along with Kuyt and Voronin. In the long-term if Babel is going to move up top, we really can only sign one top quality player (If we want to keep Crouch, and if he's happy to stay).

Torres
Crouch
Babel
New Forward

Hleb from Arsenal is a quality player, that type of premiership player is good but we would not get him.

We should put a 25 million bid in for Messi  :p
