"I can't wait to face Liverpool. I have nothing to prove - what happened is that I moved and you have to move if you want to play first-team football.
"I always had a good relationship with the Liverpool fans and I'll always support them. I want to do my best for Villa and the fans and that's all. Of course there will be a special motivation because it's my former club and I've still got a lot of friends there.
"If I could score against them, it would be great, but only from the point of view that I want to score in every game. What matters is three points."
He showed glimpses of real class in his four appearances to date which brought two goals against Blackburn and Wycombe.
He says his decision to play for the Czech Republic against Holland - after missing the Middlesbrough game which angered O'Leary - was the correct one.
"I had an injection - but not to my Achilles. I'd do the same again - the leg was okay - I trained without any painkillers on the Thursday and Friday and my leg was okay.
"But I got a kick to the same place in the game against Holland and the leg got worse.''
"I had to stop. I could've played in the Finland game with painkillers but I didn't want to damage it any more."
