I was actually thinking about Fabio but to be honest I personally put country over club (sorry folks!) so I wouldn't want him to leave England after the World Cup unless there was another great manager lined-up to replace him, if there was I would be happy for him to come to Liverpool

Country before club ?! Are you being serious here - Im betting you would rather have Gerrard and Torres playing for their country over their club then .

Playing for England has robbed us of our best player far too many times over the years and i for one dont give a flying monkeys about England football team - its there for the southern england fans .

Club over country every day of the week .

Where do people get the notion about O'Neill are you all thick or something.  Surely its better to give Graham Souness a go.  Or maybe Glenn Hoddle or Rudd Gullitt maybe Ray Wilkins, lets see there has to be someone other really brilliant manager Im forgetting what about the bloke who lost all the money at Barrings bank.  Better still Gordon Ramsey He played football for Rangers.  The football will be :censored: and so will the food but at least the players will be able to swear like Fergie.:p

My choice would be either Zola or Roy Hodgson. The reasons behind both choices is that they both play a good passing game that at Liverpool with the players available might be a winning formula. The chairmen will no doubt choose a european manager unproven in England who will come with an amazing CV, change everything at the club & will put us back about five years.

Roy Hodgson with Carra as number two would be fantastic & may well pave the way for a Gerrard Carra partnership in the not too distant future.

I can only think of King Kenny and Sammy Lee partnership or Gus Hiddink

I think to bring in Kenny under the current ownership would be wrong. If he was given a decent sized kitty maybe but otherwise no as it would only tarnish him if it didn't work out.

Why is MON no good enu?
He almost single handed-ly kept Leicester city in the EPL for a good period of time (4-5 seasons?) with practically no budget.

He went to Scotland and broke Ranger's dominance in the SPL.

He came back to Villa, again with a shoe string budget made them strong whilst losing Barry, Villa most important player.

Before Rafa, we were heavy linked with him. I like him, he is an honest manager. But I be equally happy with KK or Keegan, given our situation lately.

Didnt tarnish Shearer when in similar situation with Newcastle.

Problem right now with us is that we have good players but Rafa seem not able to motivate them to play with pride n sweat for the shirt.

and i believe under KK, he will give the youngsters a chance when needed unless Rafa.

Im guessing you mean unlike Rafa

So what have ayala, insua, spearing, lucas, ngog, kelly, ngog, ecclestone - all youngsters who have played this season .

Not forgetting pacheco would of played against Arsenal if he hadnt of been called up by spain .

This man has 2 young kids knowing more English than Spain. Lvp is their way of life, but sadly Rafa has taken a big gamble, blame fate if you want, and losing it big time.

The gamble he took: (1) Aquaman taking longer to recover from injury and Lucas, being the replacement for the replacement, isnt even remotely prepared for the role.

(2) Mistaking his main striker, Torres, as superman who can played 56 games per season. Choosing instead to put his already limited funds into a RB position that was already well covered for. Now an unfit Torres is being risk playing every match, as every match now is crucial.

Now only a miracle can save Rafa's job, a miracle like Istanbul or the Stevie G FA cup final. He has been digging a hole since pre season and the final act will be him to jump in.

No to Morhinho, no matter how brilliant he is, the man is a selfish bugger who hates LFC and only care about himself.

I would counter that Rafa only looks after himself, do you not remember him telling Kuyt to delay signign a contract extension until he himself had received one, and then there is the constant focus on CL football, why would that be? Perhaps to big himself up to other top European clubs, it sure as hell isn't for the club.

I do not understand where everybody gets this notion that Rafa loves the club from.

My god are you Whelan in disguise ? You both talk utter rubbish .

The money for the club to enable him to get better players and to increase our chances of winning the prem comes from that CL - a damn big wedge of it to be exact so he has to focus on it in the same importance as the prem . He doesnt need to boost his cv in CL - he has already won both the trophies available and people know how good a manager in europe he is .

Think it was either last season or won before when he played weakened teams in the CLto play the top players but we lost the first couple of games and we had to win the last three to go through and Rafa got crucified by people like you for not playing the top players in the CL

If you ever met him you know he loves the club - just look at the way he was with the fans in that pub in germany

The fact he hasnt walked away when he the chance to work at Madrid or other clubs that has courted him , the fact he hasnt walked away despite owners looking to replace him behind his bank - still here despite them going back on promises and also taking away his transfer fund he got from the sale of Xabi - through all that he is still there doing his best for our club.
