I rest my case.

You cannot be serious?  Do you think Torres or Gerrard or Carra or Reina or Alonso or Masch rely on Rafa to get them "in the mood"?  If a professional football player cannot motivate himself to play for one of the best clubs in world football he's got no business playing the sport.  :no

Yeah I do mate they all do need a kick up the :censored: soemtimes and those 4 are poor people to use they play week in week out they don't needs as much motivation I am talking about fringe players.

If you not playing week in week out its not that you don't want to play for the club it can be hard trying to picture you self in line up and need your confidence built up.

Look at performance lucus gave after rafa backed him in press.

I not saying they need to be wraped up in cotten wool but the managers job is to not only get them focused like he always says but to get a good feeling going to make them want to give 110% every time they get a chance.

But this is not easy at all and not every manager has it in them to kiss :censored: when its needed or to shout at players when its needed.

I agree with this bit, mate.  I've just finished Carra's biography and his insights into Rafa's man-management confirm a lot of suspicions.  He's fairly all business and ultra-professsional.  He expects the lads to know their jobs and to work hard.  He rarely loses his rag, Carra says, and rarely dishes out the praise.  I suppose for someone like Babel that can be a tough thing to deal with, if indeed he is a character that needs a bit more of an in-your-face manager.  The reality, though, is that the player has to fit into the established system/way of doing things.  He needs to adapt to Rafa's approach and motivate himself or he needs to find another club.  Sadly, for the lad, I think he's well past doing the former and so will be doing the latter before too long.

Ill sell him for 5m right now.

Was rubbish today, always lost the ball because of his poor touch, misplaced passes, didn't go for headers, rubbish.

you should get the fukk off this forum with language like that about our players.
What a great fan you are.

As for Kuyt, yeah he was pish today, but so were about 6 others in the team. Yet again though thi thread comes flying to the top.
Funny how when Kuyt is bad the team is bad, yet when he's flying we win. Is he THAT important to the team or should we be able to go down the left flank, which no one mentions.

Shush you. I support the team, not a fat waster on the right.

Please, do tell me who was worse than him today? Maybe Babel? Oh, so he's the second worst player today then.

You're a blinded idiot.

every thing about him tho today was bad I could say same about babel as well even alonso was bad today.

I feel tho babel just as a note can't play on left any more surely rafa must see in training he has no left foot surely he see's him cross the ball and thinks jesus I need this lad on right he is tosh on his left.

Or am I missing something ?

I feel rafa just is setting up his players to fail alot of time kuyt is no right winger just as much as babel is no left winger.

He was our worst player today, even if 2 or 3 others were bad, he was the worst! everytime he got the ball he loses it and our attack breaks down.

There is a thread in rawk on "What does Dirk Kuyt bring to the team?* and more and more members there are getting pi$$ed off with him......

Maybe we should do a compilation of his good, bad & ugly points.

Good
1)Runs around for 90 mins (headless chicken)
2)Stops the fullbacks and wingers from attacking (a defensive winger)

Bad
Where can i start....hahhahahahh ....slow, his 1st touch, his constant breaking up of our attacking play...etc

ugly
Stu's words...not mine......sloth like face....

Thats the thing....play him every game and he is bound to score a goal (law of averages).... But why aren't other players like babel and Keane given the same benefits ?

I am pretty sure babel would have done much better if he had just been played to his strengths (taking into consideration he isn't good with his left foot) and given the similar run of games.

Keane would have deffo been a massive player for us...if the manager had even shown 3/4 of the faith....

you have to ask coach benitez wats his beef ...

I would pick Keane over him any day. Sure Keane misses some too but id still have him over Kuyt as he has more ability. But there are things going on at the club we don't know about so I guess we have to make do with what we got. Babel is a waste of space and I dont have any more to say on him.  :D
