We've established that Babel isn't very good on the left, as we are a better team with a genuine left midfielder there. He doesn't seem to me to be much good on the right either to be perfectly honest. I think it's fairly clear he has regressed this season as a footballer.

Is there any hope for him? I think it's debateable. I suppose since his situation is looking absolutely desperate, we could possibly try playing him in the position he played in when we bought him, and the one which I imagine we bought him for. I know it's a bit out there, but we could try him as a centre forward at some point. You never know, it might just work.

That said, it probably won't and if it was me I'd listen to offers. Then after a couple of seconds consideration I'd accept one of them and sell him on.

He has same goal/min ratio as gerrard this season and torres so I think you being a little harsh in your judgement.

Your creative use of stats never fails to amuse, LB (paralleled only by your vehement rejection of stats when they counter your argument, of course ).  In this case, though, you're underselling your man: he's actually started four times and we've won all four.

Of course, some might argue that we probably would have been able to see off Crewe Alexandria, Marseille, PSV Eindhoven and Newcastle without "MC Rio" (interesting choice of stage name, doncha think? ) but we'll never know.

Not surprisingly, I'm with those that either think he can't be ar.sed or that he's so sh!t scared of doing something wrong that he goes missing virtually the second he crosses the white line.  In either case, as I've contended for months, he completely, utterly, absolutely and fundamentally lacks the character required to be a success at Liverpool Football Club and we would do well to flog him off this summer when we might still get some decent money for him (I'd start by seeing if the new fat cats over in blue Manchester want to take a punt).

I was talking in the league but i did get stats little wrong.

Babel was 2 goals in league and kuyt 5 but still you can see babel goals for games played is on par if not better.

I just feel there is alot more to come from him if he is given a good run in team , for christ sakes he was hitting some form late last season and I was impressed with him yet this year rafa just has him keeping seat warm for keane.

well then he must not be showing rafa enough dring the week - even against newcastle despite scoring for a yard he showed feck all during the match - when he has come on as sub he has shown feck all . he has had chances over the season to try and grab those chances to stake a claim in the team and he has not once grabbed those chances.

Oh My God - read what people are saying - passions has feck all to do with match sharpness - absolutely nothing to do with match sharpness . you dont get passions by playing a full 90 mins .
