Without scanning through this whole thread again i thought that was the general perception most have had from the start.
Everyone who has criticised him has said that he works hard and can pop up with some important goals (mostly in europe), the reason why there is so many pages of discussion is imo more to do with people kicking off when anyone has criticised him.

where as there is a certain few people who have said he is no use and slagged him of constantly no matter what he has done .

And all i have done is backed a player in a liverpool shirt - if people think thats undying love or whatever away you go and think that , will always back players who are contributing in a positive way while they wear the liverpool shirt .

A lot of times its when people have backed him or any other player on the forum you get the odd few people slagging both the poster off (saying havent got a clue about football blah blah ) and the player off .

oh it already got locked cos the mod didnt see a need for a new kuyt thread. funny cos i remember setting up a POLL. not a THREAD.

1) You allowed people space for comments, which is exactly where the same arguments we find in here would get rehashed

2) You left in all the personal stuff at the beginning of the post, which is pretty much inviting more arguments

3) You asked the wrong question anyway. As this thread reveals (read back through it all if you don't believe me), the vast majority of people acknowledge that Kuyt is a limited player who works hard and who has popped up with some useful goals so far this season. And, fewer people but still quite a number think he's our best RM option at the moment, barring moving Gerrard over. All of that has been established and re-established ad infinitum on here.

So, what's the real question? It's pretty straightforward, actually: is hard work and the odd important goal enough to justify Kuyt's place in the team? That's really what we're debating at this stage and I don't see any reason why we can't keep doing that in this thread.

Yeah but your question didnt really highlight what you were looking for thou mate . If you had said something like " are you off the same opinion " or words to that effect then might of been better.
