Dirk kuyt - Peace everyone

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Lando_Griffin » Mon Oct 13, 2008 3:19 pm

The best part about this place is thus:

Kuyt could finish the season as top scorer in the league, and people on here would STILL say he was rubbish.

Because they're obviously experts in the field of player analysis... Just like they're expert at chatting sh*te.

theres no winning is there? if posters do change their opinion, they will be accused of being fickle.

and i dont think anyone is claiming to be a expert. everyone here has their opinions and do well to defend and explain them. so the idea of them ''talking sh!t or being football experts'' can be thrown out of the window.

Really max ? have you not read Fodnes posts for one claiming everyone on here talks :censored: and doesnt know what they are talking about ? and he claiming to know everything .

Lando is right it wont matter what Kuyt does certain people will still slag him off or say he is :censored: but there will be some people who will give him credit and change their opinion about him.

I think the best thing about that post is it is guilty of the same thing that a lot of the people you're slating are guilty of - utter hyperbole.

My opinion of Kuyt has actually softened slightly in recent weeks - I still don't really rate him highly at all, he's still a very limited player, but recently he has scored some important goals and deserves credit.

But let's keep talking in extremes eh?

My view on Kuyt changes week to week, game to game ....... but I am fickle :D  He is an annoying and frustrating player to watch, but scores important goals and gives 100% every game. I thought he played well against the mancs and even better against Everton when he came inside. Against Citeh I thought he was p!ss poor ...... and then he scores the winner!

Like Garcia I think he will continue to split peoples opinions, and my opinion will no doubt change depending on his performance.

there are some who will slam him no matter what but from what i see, most people are willing to accept his contribution but they find he has too many weaknesses.

i for one, was delighted when kuyt scored i started jumpin on my bed.

Stu, i dont really know him. i guess we shouldnt take his comments literally. perhaps its just the way he is or he is fiesty or hot-headed.

Think we can see through a couple of posts people are softening their views of him and thats good - i dont think anyone will ever rate him as world class etc or top quality etc but some rate him for what he brings to the team but if people soften their feelinsg towards him as he does well that doesnt mean they are fickle just means they are seeing he is bringing something to the team while still having reservations about the player . No one will ever rate or class Kuyt as world class and a player of the highest quality .
