I have watched Kuyts goal a couple of times, and for me it's Keane not Dunne that robs Torres of a hatrick, but luckily the ball goes to Kuyt for the winner.

Great win.

Looks like we are better than I thought we were this year. There was no way we'd get back into that match last season or the season before.

also sitting in the bar today at 2-2 Alonso made a challenge and played a lovely pass cross field, prompting my rather intense mate to shout out, at the top of his voice "Alonso's unbelievable, I wouldnt swap him for Gareth Barry if he had 4 legs!" :D

i nearly fell of me stool

I said before that kuyt will be the downfall of beneitz.... If he still want to persist with him....he won't be here for long.

I'm well pleased with that result and it shows a real change of attitude from the players this year. They've not let themselves get too disheartened at any time this season and have positively thrived on coming back from behind.

I've gotta admit though that when I heard the team I was well pissed at Rafa. It's not two weeks since he was proclaiming that the team was too good to rotate, yet here he was dropping a player who had finally broken his duck in mid week and apparently going all defensive again. Sound familiar? ???

However we'll leave that aside for another thread, having only seen the last 20 mins it sounded like our full backs were pi
ss poor in the 1st half and what really turned the game for us was the sending off.
After that we really looked like we could take the game if we wanted to and we did.
A cracking way to go into an international break, the only downer for me was KUYT scoring a premiership goal, we'll never see Rafa drop him now  :(

:D
Seriously though, losing Skittle will be a major blow and hopefully Agger will quickly readjust back to the league game after being out for so long.

Benitez knew he made a mistake today, he should have kept the same formation that played PSV and Everton, When Gerrard moved back to his favorite position he started to play better, he did a top class tackle in the end of the second half and was magnificant. He was wasted behind Torres, absolutely wasted. Keane also added another dimension to our attack when he came on. Alonso was excellent in the second half.

Rafa's subs worked a treat, I knew we would get a result when he reverted back to the old formation because we certainly looked a better side in the second half.

oh, and.. GET IN!!! DIRK BABY!!!!  :buttrock  :D

WE GOT THE LAD FROM SUNNY SPAIN HE GETS THE BALL AND SCORES AGAIN FERNANDO TORRES LIVERPOOL'S NUMBER 9!

The liverpool away supporters were magnificant today

Agreed Rushie, one of the criticisms that I would take from today's game is that Rafa played around again, he shouldn't have, we would have been in a mess in the first place if he kept the same players and formation that are doing really well. I thought he spotted in the second half, and did excellent changes.
