Maybe because Babel looked like he wanted to be anywhere but on the pitch in our last game ? I know he made the cross from which we scored but apart from that he looked totally disinterested. I think we could have used him today , but maybe Rafa was trying to make a point?

Thing that bothered me Andy, if you get the chance to look at it again , Keane had already had a glance at the defender coming in and in that split second almost invited the tackle, maybe I'm being harsh but the fella should have done better.

I think he is still in Rafas bad book for going to the Olympics.
I bet mascherano come back begging to get in the team and gave him a apple lol

Did you know that SWP score twice just now ??
WTF has SWP got to do with us?
Linking the S*n paper on here get a grip.
OK you win ... Bravo , Liverpool didn't lose today's match (That's the most important thing in football) ... but the headline for today is that SWP score 2Goals.
1- What does SWP have to do with LFC?
2- What does SWP have to do with Slavan Billic?
i can only answer your first question , wright phillips agent called LFC up and he was told tat he is not the player they are looking for . Rafa and parry have been looking for a winger since he came and he fit the bracket with a price range of 9 million , slightly more than riera whom we might not even get , SWP may be small but he's fast , versatile and get HIS share of goals , just the winger we need . 9 million , fecking a baragin for him .

He even set up the only goal in midweek which got us into the group stages and he still didnt even make it as a sub.

I guess much of the disappointment (including mine) comes from seeing how sh'it Villa were and that if we'd been on form three points were there for the taking
We move on.
Mate when you are in a title race without one or two of your best players you still look to getting the 3 points , many of us know that even without torres and gerrard , we should be getting 3 points from here , we've got strength in dept and we have players capable of doing it , its just bizzare decisions by the manager and where he plays them and what instructions he sets them , rafa was cautious today , playing for a draw , his substitutions have to be the worst i have ever seen , he left 2 of the best livewires we have on the bench , babel on El zhar , care to explain that , would any of the rival managers done what he has done with the subs today?

Planned I tell you, it's all planned !!!
Put out a formation for 10 minutes that gets everyone confused, and hey presto ! a 0-0 draw away to Villa
Rafa the magician

JoeTerp wrote:who cares what the performance was like, it is a decent result. Last year, Villa beat Chelsea at home, hopefully they will beat either Chelsea or man u or both. What is the point in talking about how we played when we didn't have our two best players?
If we would have had a great performance today and so did villa and we still ended up with a draw, what difference would that have made? we are about to go into an international break so its not like we could have directly carried that momentum into the next game.
Last year, we beat Villa at Villa Park.

yeah, i noticed that in the replay on the telly - he deffo saw the guy coming. i'm no striker, or any other kind of footballer for that matter, so i don't know what his thought process should or would have been. i'd have thought that something along the lines of "here comes a defender, i'd better shoot or evade him" should have been part of it though.

Get up! everybody's gonna move their feet
Get Down! everybody's gonna leave their seat
