at half time we need to get Lucas off and put babel on. but Rafa will not do that till 60mins.
we could hold out till then but it is a risk.

while he's done good i still think he should come deeper to try to dictate the game especially when our defenders are on the ball... they dont seem to have any options infront of them despite having Alonso, Mascherano and lucas there...

And wtf is with Babel being on the bench today... seems we'r playing for counterattacks and individual sparks and with Torres and Gerrard out i would have expected Babel and Keane to be out there doing all the work upfront !

dissapointing so far and the only positive is that the score is still 0-0

Regardless of how we play, if we can nick this it would be a fooking great result for us, IF ( i dont know ) their wiling to play deap at home we should press the play nd go for it a little more second half.

Listening to the match in work , was that half as bad as John Aldridge was making out , sounds as though both teams are playing poo , last ten minutes sounded better from us . What's it like from the point of view of watching it on telly.

I don't think Lucas has had a bad game TBH, linked play ok, just seems a little frail and easily knocked off the ball. For me I am more disappointed that neither of our full backs have really made much effort to get forward.

Keane has made ONE great pass and for the rest of the time has worked hard but achieved little. Kuyt has worked hard and not done bad up to now.

Lucas played in half of our league games last year and I would think that number would only increase as he is now a year older and more used to the English game than he was last year

Yes wasn't much happening mainly because of how defencive we are playing villa are having a go but with our 5 in midfield and 4 in defence they havent had much chance.
