How about this: they (Berbatov/Kuyt) are both not good enough to play for us. At least Kuyt wears his heart on his sleeve when playing for us. He works his boll*cks off for the cause and the shirt. I can't fault the man for that, and as such I'll always support him as long as he plays in a red shirt. A bit paradoxical, yes, but Kuyt has the industry where Berbatov does not; and Berbatov has the verve where Kuyt does not. Which do you prefer if the goal tally is barely any different? I'd go with the player that questions nothing and keeps his mouth shut, while at the same time shows a great example to other players on the pitch by his fantastic work rate right to the final whistle.
Kuyt never seems to take a ball on and run with it into the box. This is my main gripe with the man. But then again, neither does Berbatov. If we were looking anyone, maybe we need a more direct solution of a player who has nothing but attack-minded and quick. Like Martins. I think he'd be quality for us.
