I thought Carroll was really good today. An important assist, was winning a lot of his headers, his touch was actually quite good today and he almost never just wasted possession. Off the woodwork from a not-so-great cross from Enrique as it went to far behind.

He wasn't winning every header, but it's because he's seen that when he just wins the header and he's alone, it does no good. He tried to control things with his chest so much more and he was doing really well in holding the ball.

I thought Downing and Hendo both had really decent games as well, and Kelly played pretty well too.

I was happy nobody commented about it, it'll bugger off if everyone stops focusing on it. I've had to argue with loads of people over it - ITV nor any of the interviewees gave it much focus

I do not know a single racist Liverpool fan so everyone trying to tarnish our clubs name in such a manner can get f.uked

Stan Collymore sumed it up on twitter saying that you have to look at the context, while Oliver Holt is a two faced c*nt had a go at our fans saying that we racially abused Evra.

totally agree about the media, I think fans of every other club in the country (bar City

) wanted us to lose today and we stood up and went for it. I'm chuffed with the solidarity we've showed, even in the faces of the ignorant who put their own spin on our actions.

On another note there's a pic going round of a fan in the stands looking like he's doing a monkey pose, though you can't see the other half of his body so its not exactly clear. Has anyone heard anything regarding the fan behaviour today? I'm hoping its all good. Booing Evra is one thing but we could do without one t0sser taking things too far

thats the thing I'm struggling to understand, someone tried to paint him out as a representative of out entire fanbase being racist which is just absurd. It's as if one single action of a fan represents the outlook of out entire club but every other club is exempt from such a generalisation. It's a bit strange that we're getting scrutinised like nothing's the matter

Just focus on the football and all will be well
