Liverpool Football Club - Games

Come on 3pm hurry up.

Strongest line up IMO, seeing as Stevie isnt fit.

Carroll on the bench to come on in the 60/70th minute maybe? lad needs some match practice.

Going 3-0 :)

Not sure about Skrtel at full back. Hopefully he links up with Hendo ok. I love the partnership Dirk and Suarez have so I'm happy with the line up overall

Agree with DD - great bench, plenty of options
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Strong bench and glad to see Johnson back. Think Having Carroll there is the best too....he's not in form and needs to up his game. Expect to see him come on around the 65 min mark and bag a goal.

I'm going for 2-0  :nod

Only 3 subs allowed :(

Would like to see Bellamy at some stage, Johnson and Coates too if we have a decent lead.

Been a while since we have had this strength in depth

When we played them last year away from home, less then a year ago this was our team

Liverpool: Reina, Carragher, Kyrgiakos, Skrtel, Konchesky, Meireles, Lucas, Gerrard, Maxi, Torres, Kuyt.

And here are the subs

Jones, Jovanovic, Babel, Ngog, Poulsen, Shelvey, Kelly.

bring on Coates?  god no....you NEVER replace a central defender mid-match. Not unless someone gets injured.

His time will come, but not today.

Dunny that one isnt half as bad as the team we had out against Brummie away last season, truly horrific

Gonna be a stern test for the redmen today. Would have preferred to see Johnson at RB. Need to dominate from the start and put them in their place. 2-0  :nod

Johnson on the bench? Either he is fit enough or not, surely? Carra to play RB I think, and I hope Henderson is in the middle with Kuyt on the right.

he's fit...but not MATCH FIT...if that makes sense.

Good looking team, we need to pass it around so we can nullify a very direct Stoke.

And what a bench!

Yeah it does. I remember some manager or other saying that there was no point having someone on the bench who wasn't fully match fit, because if you subbed them on, you may have to sub them off again later in the game. His advice was play 'em from the start and replace them when they needed to be replaced or leave them out of the squad. Makes sense to me.

Oh well, I enjoyed Skrtel's last effort at RB and if he IS back there again, as long as he has Kuyt in front of him we'll be solid down the flank.
