Its always a gamble playing the smaller sides in the latter stages. Do we play our best 11 or rest some and risk it .

We'll have to beat a top team sooner or later. Better in the earlier stages than later on imo.

Woke up this morning and really chuffed with that result.

I agree about taking on MANCs also, who will be concentrating on CL anyway

You know what? There is a possibility that it is easier to get a win playing away from home than at Anfield given our current form. Why? Because the teams that come to play us at Anfield, even manure will come to defend and try to use a goal poacher to grab a goal and then start putting all 10 men to defend their slim lead and try to catch us off guard on the break when they come to Anfield. Our current form is not good enough to break down this kind of strategy. But when we play at their backyard, they will change their approach and attack more often resulting in more opportunity for us to score.

Good win that and more like it. Its not easy to go there and come away with a victory and weve found it tougher than most. Didnt see the game but saw the goals and Coates just got out muscled on the touchline and though he needs to be stronger it happended quite a way from goal. Suarez saves the day again. Be nice to get to the final so hopefully we can have a real go at this now.

Great result and job done.  Hopefully we can build on that win now and get a couple of points in the PL.
Certainly nice to be back in a quarter final of a domestic cup, its been awhile.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Forums are supposed to be for people to voice out their true views without hiding or sugar coat anything. A forum is not a motivation camp, so if there are problems, which we have plenty (including bad luck), one should rightly highlight it out especially if they're true, don't you think?

I am delighted with the hard fought win, but I still believe our problems are not resolved yet. We still desperately need a quality striker a.s.a.p. until 35 million Andy has been given enough time to get accustomed to the Liverpool way, we also need a quality right winger. Hope Comolli and KD will do that in Jan.

I think you have a problem understanding the idea behind this forum. It's not your own privatized Biz ,anyone can voice their opinions without being Bullied or attacked personally as you and others on this board tend to do from time to time.

You are NOT liverpool Fc ,you are just one out of millions out their ,you do NOT represent the club ,it's values or it's Fans. The minute you understand that you will learn to conduct yourself in a more social manner. The Fact I or others criticise players/tactics isn't from a bad place but from a desire to see us relive our glory days ,you on the other hand attack people personaly like a cyber bully ,riding your "Moral High Ground" as if counts for something.

BTW - no one is disappearing anywhere. Address the subject not the sender.

Good post mate! The team and a lot of the new players haven't been beyond criticism this season and providing it is constructive then it makes for a more interesting forum IMHO.

As for last night it was a great result and it would have been good to see Carroll slot away one of the four excellent chances he had in the first half. Easy to criticise him for missing but he in some great positions. The lad needs a bit of luck. he is carrying the world on his shoulders at the moment.Excellent performance by the amazing Suarez.Overall we did ok against a very tricky team.

thought we fully deserved to win. there was only one side trying to play any football again. at half time it was a case of deja vu having dominated long spells but the way we turned it round showed great character.

onwards and upwards.

I never suggested I represent the forums opinion. In fact it is that issue that I created the ratings thread.

But I find it hard to take when some on here continually spout doom and gloom on ever aspect of a game, player or managerial decision. I am all for criticism when it is balanced. Half the posts from some on here are only critical and depressing, anyone looking in would think we're in a relegation battle.

Forum's are for expressing opinions, doesn't mean I have to like them and because I don't like them I happily use the forum to convey my objections.

[quote]

You're right, forums like this is for members to express their opinions regardless of whether they're positive or negative and also for educational purposes as sometimes some threads do highlight out certain things which I never realised.

For me, it's fine to express out any displeasures or weaknesses we may have if they are justified and not out of MALICE and I agree with "Only Me" that it was from a desire for the team to rectify itself. Truth Hurts and Absolute Truth Hurts Completely and if the criticisms are the truth, then there's nothing wrong in voicing it out.

I've been wrongly accused to be a manure fan, that 'Tottenham Dave' guy using this identity not because they disagree with my criticisms but because I chose to criticise. This gives me the impression that this forum is only for posting the rosy stuffs and forget about the thorns which will be too one sided and living in fantasy land, a bit like watching a porn movie.
