Bergovic is in our penalty area, Mignolet catches the ball and Bergovic tried racing back to his goal. Mignolet held on to the ball for another 30sec...wtf???

Important win and more importantly that was a much, much better performance with small signs of how we played last year. Rodgers made some big calls regarding team selection today and it worked. Well done BR for having the balls to do it and has to stick to it.

Glad we won. a relieve, but playing well for only 30 or so minutes of the game is not good enough.

Great character, great spirit.....is what BR will say in the post match interview

Mongolet actually had a decent match there, was very hard to watch, but we needed 3 points and need the same again tuesday night against Leicester

Not sure I agree. Granted first half was poor, but second half we really picked it up and there was a real purpose to us. If Sturridge was out there, I really think the game would have been wrapped up way earlier

Pretty impressed with lambert's hold up play... I think he is a better cf than balotelli is...

Must win to escape bottom table.
BR still has to answer why LLalana is being left to dry when world "beaters" as Lucas are waived in....
And yes lambert every day before Mario.

Well, a win like this one against the same side last year kicked off our season. Maybe it'll be the same this time as well :)

Wow, talk about a roller coaster ride!
With both Arsenal and United winning these are 3 huge points for us, if we'd gone 7 or 8 points behind United I'm not sure we'd have bridged the gap.
Fair dues to Brendan for mixing the starting XI up and how ironic is it that the much maligned duo of Johnson and Mingolet are the ones who end up playing crucial roles on the day. We might have rode our luck a bit with the goal (Lambert offside?) and the Bojan effort off the post was a close shave but we had a few hard luck stories ourselves.

Well done to get the three points, which it was very much needed. Brave Johnson gets the credit (although I never rated or liked him as LFC's player) however
he had a reasonable game.
All the players had worked so hard in getting the result and 3 points, despite BR line-up being so negative and it does not have many goals in it
you can't expect Lucas and Allen to get you the goals that the team needs to win games!.

Once again the whole weight was put on shoulders of Sterling, he will be burned out soon if BR carry on using him like that. BR should have been more bold and add on another
creative player or another striker to help Lambert, and the latter one had played very well and he was unlucky not to score.
The whole team deserve all the credit for wining the three points, despite the limited team's line up.
Well done lads, and let us win on Tuesday night again.

At least we stopped the rot.

This could be a big turning point. Lucas played well for me he has to play there every game. They still had very good chances.

Wins a win
