People really think Henderson will shy away from Stoke? I mean he's played against them before with Sunderland, in fact there's a compilation of him against Stoke and he did well and was played in CM there. I don't think Adam,Lucas,Henderson or Spearing would shy away. I think Henderson showed what he's all about against Bolton the performances before were a player settling down and learning his way into the team. I expect him to be a focal point of our attack if he plays because he could of had 2 assists against Bolton. Also we have a tall team. Carroll is 6,3, Henderson is 6,2,Adam 6,1. And our smaller players like Suarez, Lucas and Spearing they're not weak. I think we'd be mad to play Coates but bizarrely people on other forums are putting him in the team. I think we'll win 1-2 anyway.

Stoke have had some good results this season.  haven't lost yet, drew home to chelsea and away to Norwich and won away to West Brom, which isn't easy to do.

Hardest game weve had so far this including that Arsenal away match. Saw them against Chelsea and they where a handful and the sort of side that just never give up and are always in with a chance of nicking a win. After spending a bob or two and new players on show they will be right up for this so its a real tough one for us. At this point Im thinking a point would not be so bad but if we could win this game I agree it will be big leap forward for us and raise a few eyebrows with our rivals.

Been so busy this week. What's the latest on Adam, is he gonna be ok for play?

Id like to see Carroll and Suarez start together. Either that or Suarez can start from the bench. I think against a physical side like stoke Andy can make his presence known.

When ever I think of Stoke I remember those two draws when we finished second a couple of seasons ago.

Time to rid that memory with a good away hammering  3-1

I just hope the lads have managed to bottle the verve and enthusiasm they showed against Bolton and recapture that magic today.  Fookin' international breaks.  Ah hell, I'll predict a 2-0 victory with goals by Downing and Bellamy off the bench. :D

Well, I just got 880 points against Stoke in Zombie Football. Not a great score but I haven't played in a while. Pretty sure that translates to a 2-1 victory. Kuyt and Suarez for us, Crouchie for them.

Whenever I think of Stoke I think of that 8-0 drubbing we gave them years back, under Houllier I think.

Check out this thread for links. I haven't found a sopcast link for the game, will post if I find one.

Wonder if we will go with 3 centre backs today and give Coates a taste of the action alongside Carra and Agger.
