But Liverpool is well reluctant to let him go. Have you heard anything?

Would you let Dirk go for what price? (Provided the money would be used for another player)

Wouldn't sell Kuyt Sabre.

He's not one of our technically most gifted players, but he's the hardest grafter and one of our most consistent.  He's also never injured, which is freakish.  We have a tough season coming up and we'll need guys willing to fight for the shirt, I for one want Dirk in the trenches with us, no doubt about it.

He's probably worth about ten million in terms of his quality, but he'll be worth more than that to us next season, so we need to keep him.

I can see him staying with us for the next few years at which point he will probably return to Holland.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

You would have sold Sammy Lee as well 25 years ago?

You need grafters, Sammy and Kuyt arent pretty to watch but their work rate was/is fantastic.

Grafters means **** all if they aren't surrounded by quality players.

Order of priority

1. Get quality players
2. Get grafters

Not the other way around. Kuyt is 30 years old and he isn't going to get faster. Many other teams do well without an overpaid striker/defensive midfieder on the right side and if we need cash now is the time to sell.

Kuyt is the exact type of player we need for the upcoming season - someone who will deliver and will work his :censored: off for the team , selling him would be another big mistake

I'm sure Woy will have already been thinking about signing a LB so why is someone talking like the second the football starts we won't have one? Carra or Agger can always play LB as an emergency measure, the transfer window doesn't close until the end of August, but to slightly adapt Lando's over-reaction, "I see the drama queens are out in force". As if Woy walked in the club and said, "oh look, one LB and it's Insua, no need for back-up as he is the bestest LB in the world"............................ He no doubt has a LB or two in mind, maybe not yet at an advanced stage of transfer talks, but he does have said two aforementioned LBs in mind.

I guess the panic of having noone to cover for Torres for 1.5 seasons has been abated by the signing of Jovanovic.........................................

ulot dont get it do you! We need someone on the right and left who can cross a ball and has abit of pace. Dirk kuyt is only good enough to bring on with 5 minutes to go to run the clock down.

Oh no, we get 'it'. It being the same old, same old about pace etc, doesn't mean we have to accept your opinion or be assimilated into your collective :no Just means we don't happen to buy into your theory

Was it his fault the players decided to make it so difficult for him and so there were silly numbers of yellow cards?!?

I think both sides should have been disqualified and the trophy awarded to Germany
