I would sell at the right price.Don't get me wrong I like everything he represents but I am looking forward to a slick passing clinical attack and I find it hard to imagine Dirk playing in that, sell him and get VDV

Lot of speculation building now about Dirk going home to Daddy at Inter.  Not sure about this one but got to let the manager build his own team.  The fact that he has actually met with Inter officials (if true) looks like it might happen soon.  We all know Rafa wants him.  Wonder who we could pluck from inter?

"Dirk Kuyt's agent, Rob Jansen, claims the Liverpool striker is considering a reunion with former Reds boss Rafael Benitez at Inter Milan. Jansen claimed there is "real interest" from the European champions and added: "There is also the possibility that a player from Inter could be included in the deal."

There is NO chance Sneijder is going anywhere, and I honestly cant think of any Inter player who would be a good sigining for us that Inter would realistically let go - Maicon, Santon at fullback would be great improvments, Eto'o and Milito would both be strong additions to the front line but could you see Rafa getting rid of any of them even if it was to bring in Kuyt?

Yes.  I bet Rafa would love to sell Eto for a defensive forward/right winger  :D

I will be devastated if Dirk goes ..he's a player that for me perfectly encapsulates what a Liverpool player should bring to the table
I think if Dirk is sold to Inter it will be yet another indication of the slow dumbing down of fans expectations ... You cant take out players with real passion for the club and its fans  and then replace them with markedly soulless copies
anyway if Roy is the man I now expect him to be ...Kuyt will not be allowed to depart without a fight
I think if someone had suggested to me we would keep Gerrard and Torres , but lose Mascherano ,Kuyt, and then Aquilani then my joy at retaining them would have been severely reduced by the thought of watching helplessly as the departing trio slipped quietly through Shankly Gates ..........  :(

i think the problem is the football. If there wasnt a ball involved on the pitch he would probably win the man of the match awards for effort and running around more often.

football is way more about a players 'passion' and it plays more often than not (and rightly so) second fiddle to ability.
Football is a relatively simple game and Roy knows it ;)

Rafa should leave kuyt alone and take Babel off ours hands :D.

on a more serious note im not against him going as long as the money is made available to bring in a replacement. i like kuyt but if he wants to leave or the new manager has his own idea`s then we have to back his judgement.

Ok so if we take that equation into account ,would Gerrard be as exceptional.... if you extracted the passion from his game ?
Or if Aquilani had passion in abundance would he be still nearing the exit door ? we know Aquilani has the ability you insist on Liverpool having... but he obviously lacks the desire or indeed the heart to thrive at a club that makes such traits invaluable So which attribute makes a player  more coveted Skill or Passion or both .....  ???
Listen you may see what Kuyts brings to the team as unimportant
I don't Kuyt is an integral part of the soul of the team ... he inspires with his never say die attitude and the fans respond in kind ...I would take players with heart simply for the fact they are wanted players .... other teams and other managers build teams on players with an obvious strength of conviction because they are invaluable ....Kuyt is such a player no one doubts Aquilani's skill on the ball but he lacks the vital ingredient that makes a player stand out ....

Let's not forget only two more players score more than him in the team - gerrard and Torres and only gerrard has more assists than him over the last three seasons

yes but you need both types brains aqua and brawn kuyt. Kuyt runs around like a headless chicken and aqua doesnt do alot but maybe once or twice in a game finds that killer pass that creates a goalscoring oppurtunity. We have to many hoofers in our squad we need more class players like aqua not less.

On the subject of Passion and Heart we once had a player at Liverpool who the Kop affectionately named Red Erik ..he lacked any form of skill or aptitude on the pitch .... but he will be revered for the Heart he possessed it was Red through and through and it still remains so ..... and the crowd instantly took him into theirs ...... Mad as a box of frogs Like     :D
Kuyt has this same kind of passion but he is also  a great player who provides the raw power Liverpool will always rely on
I just think its crazy to let him go ......

If we can get 12-15m for him Id get rid, Milan Jovanovic is the same type of player but more skillful albeit on the other wing.Kuyt is a good player when were playing the best clubs in the league with his work ethic but when were looking to unlock the defences against the poor teams in the league with a through ball or something he is either  too slow of he miss controls it
