Speculation madman, speculation.  Anyway, 12 million wouldnt buy Fernando Torres' right boot.

Woy´s done a good job at Fulham and the job is incomplete, I dont understand why he'd want to leave.

He would want to leave to come a team with fantastic players like Torres, Gerrard and Mascherano and he'll want to have a chance of managing a large club. Fulham are small fry compared to us, plus he might want a second shot at capturing the Europa League.

I think we should go out and get Mick Mad Dog McCarthy .... then maybe all the incessant crying  about Benitez not giving the youth more of a chance last season will not be repeated ,because as soon as we play the Mancs sure enough we will get to see practically all our reserves if Mad Dog is in charge (Well Its one less moan  for the new season   :D )

so anything that is positive is speculation and anything negative is nailed on...

1) With Kenny in charge the better chance we have of keeping Stevie and Fernando plus any other player thinking about moving.

2)But do the owners want a monster that would be bigger than Rafa up against them

3) With someone like Hodgson in charge , Stevie and Fernando would be off ,imo

4)Do they want a manager with the club in his viens who would havethe repect of all the players plus the reputation to attract players , Standing up to them , Bringing in no money

5) Do they want a yes man. a middle of the rd manager , our top players off , generating them funds for there pockets and the loans,

We all know Kenny wants the job, so ask yourself why havnt they give it to him,
HE WHO BETRAYS WILL ALWAYS WALK ALONE

Kenny supports the appointment of Ray Hodgson and would join his management team Roy if was to get the job.

Not sure why a player would want to leave because Hodgson is manager. I just cant see why a good lad like Gerrard would turn is back on Liverpool because a decent fella and eperienced manager like Roy Hodgson is taking over. I should have thought these boys would be made up to work for someone like him every day. As for Torres, I can see him maybe going for other reasons as hes not built into the foundations like Gerrard but it surely wont be because of Hodgson. I am not advocating he gets the job at all but I dont beleive for one moment any player would start packing their gear up because he was their new manager.

I just think if Kenny was either keen to take the job or had been offered it, then he would have been officially appointed by now.

The fact he hasn't leads me to suspect it could possibly be a world cup manager they are looking at.
All speculation of course.

I have heard a rumour of Del Bosque, but not really from a credible source.

Why the hell would players be made up to work for a manager who has won nothing ?!? Also my negativity towards towards Hodgson doesn't come from the fact he is English - it comes from the fact he isn't good enough - let's remember he joined a team who finished 6th in the prem once before then spent 20 million on players ( a lot of money in those days ) and that team promptly ot relegated ! . I do wonder why people weren't willing to support our ex manager when he was in charge but are now telling us to support someone who isn't even our manager yet .

Hi all, great read this forum so i thought i'd come on board with my thoughts.

To be straight to the point i'd like to see Kenny D installed as no.1.  I'm sure he could build the right team around him to get us back on track and with a couple of additions we could be back up there challenging.  I'd add that i thought Paco was a fantastic no.2 to rafa, so i'm sure Kenny could add the right guys to his management team.

Appointing Kenny is something i feel the supporters would prefer, so i cant see how giving a one year contract to the fans choice is so scary for those at the top.  It wont scare any potential buyers for it wont cost much if they want their own guy in, its the fans choice so if all goes wrong they can at least not see the blame laid at their feet, and he may even have the powers to keep SG & FT on board.

If its not him, then all i can see is Roy. I like the guy and i'l give him my support, but i cant see it working.  Sven or any other will in 6 months time be asking for transfer funds and we are just going to go round in circles.

On the other hand, if we find a buyer, is Roy really good enough to be given 30m to build a title winning team.  Bluntly i dont think so.  Kenny on the other hand, who knows but if he gets us back on track this season then there maybe a 'Real' option out there to take us back to the top.

Apologies, bit of a waffle, whilst i know, easier said and all that!
