Holloway? And I call myself an idiot LOL (although it would kinda rock)

Keegan hasn't really got the nouse to be liverool manager daws mate , he is tactically inept . His track record suggests that once we hit a sticky patch (and we would at some stage ) he flounders and has no idea what to do ,apart from jump ship. Great great player and LFC legend but not a very good manager mate . Very romantic idea though .

Phil Thompson has given a ringing endorsement to Kenny Dalglish.

If Sven is a Liverpool supporter he evidently didn't rate Jamie Carragher when he was England manager.

a lot of the Aston Villa fans still think MON will be our next manager, once again they base it on him still not being given the money to buy players that the club he could.

Hiddink with these owners? No chance.
This is a guy that was sacked from Real Madrid for comments he was making publicly about the board. Certainly not a yes man that's for sure. Would LOVE him here, but unfortunately I don't think his too keen on the stress and full time commitment of a club environment.

Seriously though, why not give the King the reins? Probably not interested, but worth having a word to him. Would prefer Kenny over most of the other options being mentioned though.

Is that a "fact"? Or are you just speculating and trying to join in the hysteria? It's been a few days now, I thought people would've calmed down a bit and returned to a normal state of mind.

I thought rafa had always spent more than he'd made in player transfers, none more so than in the american owners' first season here. People forget last summer he spent £17M on Johnson before selling Alonso.

People say we don't have the same spending power as the big boys. We finished seventh this season, ended up in the uefa cup and got beaten by Reading. I'm pretty sure rafa got more to spend than Reading and 90% of the other teams that beat us this season.

For me, selling Dossena for £4M in January leaving us with Insua as the only regularly fit left back in the first team was unforgivable. As much as Dossena didn't make a huge impact in every game, he is three times the player Insua is.

He spoke about the need to bring in good English players (no doubt in light of the change to uefa rules which had been discussed for years and it was inevitable they'd be implemented some point) when he signed Johnson for the majorly inflated price of £17M from a club in financial meltdown. Pity he didn't think this way for the previous 5 seasons when he was bringing in countless sub-standard players from abroad.

Aquilani, it's all been said already but I think he is a good player. I enjoy regularly reading on here that we only initally paid £5M for him by people trying as hard as possible to convince themselves rafa has been working on peanuts, when every other source I look up says £17M PLUS other incentives based on success. Rafa himself said a fully fit Aquilani is worth £30M so I doubt he was only really allowed to spend £5M on him -rafa isn't exactly reknowned for being the most financially astute when negotiating transfers.

That kind of brings me onto my final point. Kenwyn Jones. Rafa cried long and hard to get all the power he could at the club, especially player transfers. So why was it after Steve Bruce came out with a scathing attack on rafa regarding the unsettling of the player, when questioned by journalists at an LFC press conference, rafa said he knows nothing about it and it's the cheif executives that are talking. I guess he couldn't make his mind up what he wanted really.
we've only won it 5 times
