I dont think Rafa rates him at all based on whatever reason. The best I see him is a bench warmer or someone to get a chance if another player is injured.

I really dont see how we can win this with our current situation. I'm a person who doesn't think things will change itself without doing much or anything at all especially results have often tell you that you are wrong. In fact, I think it's a bit insane to repeat doing the wrong thing. It's like repeating 1+1 long enough to have it equal to 11.

But I do hope Rodriguez can change things but I think he'll be on bench at best for this game.

Lawro's Premier League predictions

Stoke v Liverpool

If I was Stoke boss Tony Pulis, I would be thinking 'Steven Gerrard won't be playing, Fernando Torres won't be playing', let's get stuck into Liverpool.

If anyone didn't already know, take Gerrard and Torres out of the Liverpool team and it is ordinary in the least.

In all honesty, if Liverpool spent the season without Gerrard and Torres, then Liverpool would do well to finish halfway up the table.

Verdict: 2-1

There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

gutter for him

we got better in the second half against Reading without the big 2. If we cant beat Stoke away without Torres and Gerrard its an indictment of the progress we've truly made under Rafa.

We WILL win this
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Mates just told me that n all.

Seems a strange one given the chronic injuries we have.
Either he is going soon or Rafa has had words with him and he has been bombed.
If its the latter despite his awful attitude that would seem stupid on the managers part to not even have him substitute.

More of a chance for Pacheco though hopefully.

Yeah id go with that. But Rafa will no doubt start with Babel.  :glare:

Well Rafa has somehow contrived to buy nothing particularly special and make our squad thinner than Anna Reksic, so he may have little choice but to play Babel. I didn't think Babel played too badly on Wednesday, but of course it is written in stone that Babel, Lucas, Kuyt, Keane, Pennant and Voronin couldn't possibly have a good game for Liverpool and the lucky ones are those listed who don't play here any more and can't be blamed anymore!

It will be all hands to the pumps, expect five defenders on the bench or perhaps Rafa will go five at the back to try and negate their long ball approach. Wish I hadn't said that now, I will not be shocked if we play Skrtel, Carra and Agger as CBs or even Skrtel, Agger, Kyrgiakos as CBs with Carra at full-back (so we have height)
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

So none of the following will be in the squad: Johnson, Kelly, El Zhar, Gerrard, Benayoun, Babel and Torres.

We will have to put together a starting 11 and bench from these players: Reina, Cavalieri, Carragher, Agger, Skrtel, Kyrgiakos, Degen, Darby, Aurelio, Insua, Aquilani, Mascherano, Lucas, Spearing, Plessis, Kuyt, Rodriguez, Riera, Ngog, Pacheco and Eccleston

Get ready for another embarrassing result and performance.

If this is true, why wasn't he selling off Babel for 8 mils last week?! What is he thinking...

playing four centre halves at the back is just madness, as is kuyt as a lone striker. :lookaround
