Charlie had a pigeon, a pigeon, a pigeon.
Charlie had a pigeon, a pigeon that flew.
It flew in the morning, it flew in the night,
And when it came home it was covered in ...
Charlie had a pigeon, a pigeon, a pigeon. :D

I think it is a concern that not since they beat Unirea in February have the Reds triumphed on their travels - which is six games. This hits me as a big worry. This Europa League blog on Liverpool FC reckons Athletic Madrid will be too strong, but I think we can get a draw in Spain and then overpower them at Anfield.

if we get beat then i think it would be fair to say that spending that much time getting to the game might have something to do with it.

i am 100% sure if it was the other teams coing to england they would call it off, this year there as been an agenda to get all english teams out of the CL and the EL.

ANYWAY THATS WHAT I THINK LOL

One oversight on the part of UEFA in insisting the games went ahead, in all semis and not just EDL, is that it is unfair on the away side. All the away sides in the 1st leg had to travel by road a lot of the way, the reverse leg there is every chance travel by air will be possible so the journey time reduced.

Not to mention costs of course. I wonder if the scoreline would have been any different in the Inter game had Barca been able to fly there, could cost them a place in the final and I'd sympathise if they lodged a protest at the farce that has been the scheduling. I think in our case the final is not many weeks off so maybe there's that to consider, time to fit in the semis with changing the date of the final difficult (I would imagine)
