Beating United is the highlight of my season, I'm over the moon and the Mancs will be equally gutted for the same reason.

It's wonderful to see United in freefall. They sacked fergie's back room staff for some crazy reason, then Moyes and his staff, next VG and his staff will go. All Fergie's players have moved on, most of those brought in have been embarrassing flops increasing the pressure on those there. Sh@gger Giggs is on the bench looking totally out of place yet many Mancs want his as their next manager. Its a great scenario, it can only get better. Two more bad seasons and they're buried. They still got a 75,000 gate last night but that's only a matter of time....

Now... I hate Leeds even more....

I'm with you Reg.

Does it get any better seeing these Mancs in complete and utter shambles?

Love it!!!!

Emre Can appears to have gone up several levels in the past few weeks and was outstanding last night.

No longer wasteful with the ball or running up blind alleys, no more petty fouls in dangerous areas or moaning at the referee, just a composed
and clinical, devastating performance, from a child to a man.

Keeps that up we can safely say we do have a top player.

The results from other games were very interesting, some big names went out. The eight remaining clubs are:

Athletic Club (ESP)
Borussia Dortmund (GER)
Braga (POR)
Sevilla (ESP)
Shakhtar Donetsk (UKR)
Sparta Praha (CZE)
Villarreal (ESP)
Liverpool (ENG)

Our record in the UEFA cup against the above clubs is:

v Athletic      W2 D1 L1 F4 A3
v Braga          W0 D1 L1 F0 A1
v Dortmund    W1 D1 L1 F3 A2
v Sevilla         N/A
v Shakhtar      N/A
v Sparta Praha W1 D1 L0 F0 A1
v Villarreal      N/A

Liverpool last lifted the trophy in 2001 when we beat Deportivo Alavés 5-4 in the final - a game of heart attacks that!!

I don't think it makes any difference who we get in the next round apart from Athletico, so bring it on!

A Braga or Sparta would be nice after the tough draw we got in the last round. Atletico and Dortmund getting each other would certainly help our chances too.

UEFA have just charged both team over what happened last night.

MUFC charged over crowd disturbances, the throwing of objects and stairways being blocked.
Charges against LFC: Illicit chants, setting off fireworks, throwing of objects, Crowd disturbances, arriving late for Kick-off

RAWK up in arms as MUFC have not be charged with 'illicit songs' despite constant referrals last week and last night to Hillsborough, murderers etc.. and virtually no Munich songs from LFC. Also that the fighting was largely United fans starting on our boys. Television evidence is everywhere.

UEFA once again showing horrendous inconsistency after no charges coming from the Anfield game..........   :veryangry  :no  :veryangry

Yes they are right over the charges of the fireworks etc which TBH was to be expected...
But they should be ashamed of their inaccurate, inconsistent reviews and charges.

Absolute joke. Late for kick off? Wasn't it Valencia who was holding everything up for the second half? Illicit chanting from Liverpool fans? Is this a wind up? Some of the charges are fair enough but the lack of consistency is a p!ss take.

Why is the result of these charges on the 19th May? The day after the Europa final? Do they do anything right?

They've also kept Madrid, Barca, Bayern and PSG apart in the CL draw
