All in fellas, let's go get these guys, forget Sakho gate, forget Mignolet gate, forget who we are without (Origi etc....)

Let's get at these and let our special players tear them a new one

Sorry this is not my usual full on post, but this needs posting and my head is not in the best place

Question is who will partner Lovren.

Toure, Skertel or Lucas?

Good question, I would be inclined to go with Kolo tbh

Apparently this is the 20 man squad that has flown out (which includes none other than Benteke)....

Chirivella, Ojo, Brannagan, Mignolet, Ward, Clyne, Lovren, Skrtel, Toure, Moreno, Smith, Lucas, Allen, Milner, Lallana, Firmino, Coutinho, Ibe, Sturridge, Benteke

Come home with a score draw and I'll be happy. I expect the atmosphere for the home tie to be something else entirely, given it'll be the first game since the Hillsborough ruling

I feel we will nick a goal. We have enough attacking threat to do the job. Only issue for us will be staying strong at the back.

Mignolet

Clyne toure lovren clyne

         Lucas

   Milner    Allen

  Firmino     coutinho

i know clyne is a better defender than moreno but he's really going to have his work cut out in that line up

I'd go with Lucas at CB, he was outstanding against Aguero, Silva, YaYa etc at Wembley in fact he was our MoM.

I'd rather have Lucas in midfield. The tactics by Klopp vs Everton were spot on and I'd like us to play the same against Villarreal. At Goodison, it first looked like we were playing a 2 man midfield with Lucas and Milner as partners, which is equal to suicide if you ask me. But as the game went on it got obvious that it was in fact a 3 man midfield, with one of the AM's filling in as the third midfielder (usually Lallana). This allowed Milner to go more wider where he's the most useful, rather than playing central. But it also gave enough strength to the midfield considering how industrial both Milner and Lallana were (basically played two roles at the same time).

So this is what I'd go for:

                                                         Mignolet

                                       Clyne     Lovren    Toure     Moreno

                                             Milner     Lucas    Lallana

                                                        Coutinho

                                               Sturridge      Firmino

I think that this was what we played against Everton. Playing the same tactics is the best way to go.

I'd go with something like this, just can't see Toure keeping up with these lads.

............................................. Mignolet

                                       Clyne     Lovren    Lucas     Moreno

                                                       Milner  Allen

                                           Firmino  Coutinho  Lallana

                                                         Sturridge

I'm expecting a tight game. Villareal are a pretty defensive side so I think they'll be happy to sit back, let us have the ball and try to hit us on the break. They're not a particularly prolific side in front of goal so as long as our defensive players are on their game I think we'll be ok, keep organised and disciplined and we can get a result to take back to Anfield. They've also been pretty poor recently, hopefully that continues for another week

Come on you reds!

That's the team I'd go with as well, damjan's line up is decent too in fact in terms of personnel there's only one difference between your line up and his and that's he has Toure in there while you have Allen, given Joe's recent form I think I'd prefer to have him in the starting XI than Kolo (though to be fair when called upon Kolo has never let us down).
By the sounds of it these are a pretty cagey outfit in the mould of Atletico Madrid and we could probably do with at least 1 away goal to stop us falling for a sucker punch in the second leg at home. Reading up on them it sounds like they can defend all day and wouldn't be overly disappointed with a 0-0 tonight, with the away goal rule they'd fancy their chances of doing a number on us at Anfield via a score draw or pens or something.
