Liverpool Football Club - Games

Great result, half way to the semis and stuffing Manure at home  :buttrock

An early goal at their place should kill off the tie as they'll need to score 4 to beat us

At last those players have brought a smile to our faces, and they were all excellent and we should won by a big margin only for their keeper who is the man of the match.

I thought the referee was very poor and biased towards the scum he wasn't to give the spot kick only for lineman who has awarded it, and he should have red carded Fellaini but he allowed him to get away with kick people all over the park, he wasn't playing football.

Let us complete the job in away game and kick the scum out of this cup.

Fantastic result but if it was for their goalie It would have been even better. Coutinho really should have scored and Danny was virtually absent apart from the penalty. Henderson's yellow was not that clever. Firmino continues to get beter and better. Lallana put in another excellent shift. Lovren is beginning to show real potential. All in all it was a satisfactory performance against a shight awful team. They just wont be that bad next week. An away goal for us would make their lives close to impossible.

Algy put a post together without mentioning BR or castigating Firmino. THINGS MUST BE GETTING BETTER

I'm not sure I'd like to see that Red....  :no

It does produce the odd bit of nipple juice ,but the lads in the Kop have accepted it now.

maguskwt - I'm not sure I'd drop Sturridge but I agree with the idea of hitting them on the break.
They will try to replicate what we did last night and turn Old Trafford into a cauldron so our first job next Thursday will be not to give them any early encouragement, 2-0 is a decent lead but if we concede in the first 15 minutes then all of a sudden it's game on.
We need to make sure that we are well organised and solid and we don't gift them a way back into the tie.

The reason yakka is that Sturridge in his current form seems to be fluffing with counter attacks. I could always imagine him losing the ball due to him trying to over complicate things with his trickiness. Whereas Origi is more direct and straight forward. Firmino also seems to be displaying more directness and speed and acceleration based on this last game.

Veteran of these games but the gap over two legs between us and them was close to being as big as I have ever seen it.

3-1 flattered them and if it had been 6 they could have no cause for complaint.

UEFA has now opened an investigation into "illicit chanting" at the first leg of Liverpool vs Man United at Anfield on March 10th (Dan Roan)
